What if I told you there were a scientifically proven way to boost our sense of happiness and well-being? I had a wonderful interview with Yale psychology professor Dr. Laurie Santos. Laurie is a Yale professor of psychology and teaches the most popular class in the history of Yale. It's called Psychology and the Good Life. It's so popular in fact that millions of people from around the world have taken her happiness course on Coursera.
Laurie digs deep into the data and reviews all the studies to understand the scientifically proven ways we can boost our emotional state. Like any good thing in life, it takes practice and it takes time. But if you can make it a habit, it could be life changing.

Loved my interview with Don Lemon. I may not agree with everything he says but I do admire his authenticity, his insatiable curiosity, and his desire to get to the truth.

If you haven't watched My Octopus Teacher, move it to the top of your Netflix queue. One of the best documentaries I've ever seen. I had such a powerful and emotional reaction watching the film (which won the Academy Award for best documentary) that I had to interview the producer and host - Craig Foster. Hope you'll be as moved as I was interviewing him.

I knew nothing about Formula 1 racing other than it being a global phenomenon. But when races are won by fractions of a second, I always wondered how much was man vs. machine. So I found the greatest Formula 1 race car designer in the history of the sport - Red Bull Racing's Adrian Newey. What a fascinating career he has had. And it's not over. Dr. BJ Miller is a palliative care physician. How did he develop the empathy needed to help patients toward the end of their lives? By almost losing his.
When he was just a sophomore at Princeton, he climbed on top of a commuter train which was out of service at the time. 11,000 volts from the power line pierced through his body. He was severely burned, nearly died, and ended up losing 3 limbs. He was lucky to have survived and had to begin his new life as a triple amputee.
So many powerful lessons from this interview. You can listen on The Art of Excellence here: https://bit.ly/3IuGAyO or iTunes, Spotify...
