🌿✨ Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the most effective! After a week away from my regular walks in a nearby small canyon, I was amazed to find the w**ds had grown up to my shoulder! 🌾📏 It's incredible how quickly nature takes over.

But the coolest part? The w**d management solution isn't some cutting-edge tech—it's goats! 🐐🌱 Herds of them, munching away and keeping the growth under control. As much as I love technology, it's a reminder that low-tech approaches can be incredibly efficient too.

If you are in the Silicon Valley, I encourage you to come check out “Crippsmas Place” during the holidays. Since the late 1960s the residents off of Nicolet Drive in Fremont have been presenting impressive holiday art displays. I didn’t realize until I became a Fremont Human Relations Commissioner that all of the people who pass out candy cane, manage traffic and receive donations are volunteers (not necessarily the residents). There are six charities thatare supported through the donations that are received: Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, H.E.R.S. Breast Cancer Foundation, Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments, Adopt an Angel, the Ohlone Humane Society’s Wildlife Rehab Center, and the Fremont Family Resource Center.
