Starting out it’s life as a stock 993, this pink Porsche has now been transformed into a dedicated race car. All body panels on this replica RSR are carbon fibre and detachable. The gearbox from a 996 GT3 was installed along with a highly tuned NA engine, a full dry sump system and a twin spark.

Not only does this 964 Turbo look and sound beautiful, it has a fantastic story, the current owner purchased it 7 years ago in Germany and drove it back to Denmark where he lived at the time. When he moved to Australia a couple of years ago he brought the car with him, so even though it is LHD it is a genuine German delivered car, which is pretty special.

Weighing just 840 kilograms at its first podium finish, the car is built on a unitary 1972 Porsche 911E 2.2 chassis with steel and lightweight composite parts making up the bodywork. It was later modified with Porsche’s distinctive ‘slantnose’ fibreglass front end, and wears the blue BASF sponsorship livery that it ran during its race career.
