It’s pretty straight forward:

• I pray

I have LOVED this podcast!

Today we begin our 10th loop through Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I honestly can’t imagine a more important way we’ve used our time this year than . What an honor to just read scripture to you via a podcast and the stories and verses have over FIVE MILLION downloads so far this year. That’s a lot of ears and hearts hearing the stories of Jesus. We had big hopes for this show, and we are amazed and how many of you listen along.

But maybe this is the first time you’ve heard of this podcast? Maybe you’ve seen me talk about it but haven’t tried it yet? Today is a great day to give it a listen. I read three chapters a day to you, usually takes about 20 minutes, and by October 30th, we’ll have all four books read!

This is what an anxious heart looks like!
•
The Greek root ‘merimna’ is where we derive the concept of anxiety which literally means to divide, separate, FRACTURE! It’s Latin root ‘cousin’ means to choke, squeeze, cause distress, trouble in mind.

ANYBODY?!
•
Don’t keep giving your heart back to the one, or to worry, or to the things of this world which have, quite literally, fractured your precious heart.
•
Rather stop, lift your chin toward heaven and ask, “God, will You heal my broken heart which is fractured by anxiety? I am trusting you to do so, because YOUR WORD says, ‘He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.’(Psalm 147:3) I need YOU to do what I have tried to fix and cannot.”

Ask God for ‘belief’ in order trust His promises. Anxious no more. Wholeness! 💜P

At one point during the Q & A, said something to the effect of “Maybe tonight will be the beginning of you jumping back into fun”. This last 2 years have been sad. Even depressing. Tonight I was reminded how to have fun and how much it matters. All I could think to say was, Thank you, Annie“.

I had a thought- This month we celebrate Love and the Love that is in us. I’m not talking about worldly love which can make us feel all warm and cozy for all of a few minutes but God perfect Love. I have to remind myself daily that I am Loved and this is not always easy to do. This world is tough on us and the people we care about. By reminding ourselves that we our Loved allows us to go out into this world and show others with our actions God’s perfect Love ❤️
