It was a very disheartening start to my morning today, during my walk I found three 20-25 days old female puppies abandoned in a bush.
They were shivering and crying out loud.
It was about to rain heavily and they could have not survived outdoors, so without a second thought I bought them home. They’ll be in my care, until they find a permanent home.
Anyone seeing this and based in and around Nainital please help me spread the word 🙏🏻

There was a lot of trial and error with this Kiyari , and finally the Fushia and hydrangeas have found a permanent spot here.
After a very dry summer, plants are loving the monsoons.
Did a lot of pruning, staking, tying etc in the garden yesterday managed to record few hours of work in a 30 sec video. Sorry instagram us gardeners cannot keep up with the 1-10 second trend 😂

The rose bush is still a stunner , but soon the blooms will fade away.

I bought this antique decorative hanging from Banjara market 3 years ago and when we built @mokshamcampsite I put random forest finds in it.
3 years later , it needed a facelift. Cleaned it up and added new unique forest finds in it and I think it looks beautiful ♥️

Inspired from all the Christmas decor ideas on Pinterest, I made another rustic Christmas wall hanging. Again I did not have to buy anything for this DIY, everything sourced from the nearby forest and my tiny trunk which has some basic DIY stuff being reused each year.
Like every year I have taken it upon myself to decorate the cafe of Moksham Himalayan Campsitefor the upcoming Christmas and new years event. Inspired from Pinterest, all you need is some cardboard, wool and choice of tiny element to give a finishing touch. Stay tuned to see, where will this go up ♥️🎄🌲🎄..

There are so many customs we pick up from our elders, Aipan our Kumaoni folk art is what I picked up from my Nani.
I have a very clear memory of her, making Aipan on auspicious occasions from here little fingers. Dipping her fingers in आटें का घोल and making perfect art.
Earlier people used Geru and rice water later advancement came in and people started using long lasting paint.
My Mausi used the latter to make the designs.
Being in a boarding school and then moving away for higher education, I could only pick up bits and pieces of my culture. But I held my traditions close to my heart and I’m proud of whatever I can make in the name of Aipan♥️
