We wish this existed when we were starting in the industry
There was no one, no businesses willing to open their doors to budding artists, producers, DJ’s, and engineers outside of expensive college and private programs when we were growing up. Youtube was still just barely starting to see educational content become a real, legitimate thing that would only recently start to compete with the traditional educational paradigms. 10 years ago, there was nothing that existed like Ill Gates’ Class of 808, Warp Academy, or Teknofonic. We had to learn the hard, long, excruciating way, and those lessons have left life-changing scars on the psyche of many professionals who managed to stick it out and survive this long.
As creatives, we have a tough, often lonely road ahead. At least, that’s the perception that so much of society peddles. That absolutely is NOT true. We just have to unlearn all of the negative perceptions that have been handed to us over the years that society wants us to believe.
It’s time to take your career into your own hands. We’re here to show you not just what’s possible, but HOW it’s possible. That’s the whole purpose of this platform. We know mastering is only one tiny step in the larger picture of building a successful music business, but it’s a critical component: we all understand that wanting to have incredible sounding music that can compete in the marketplace is an integral part of the game.
