Montreal-based artist Chris Dyer combines spirituality, folk art, and skateboarding in his "positive creations." This mural was exhibited as part of his 2013 solo show in his home town, Lima, Peru.

The gallery rooms I was giving for my solo show in Lima had so much space, I decided to paint a lil something straight on the wall. It's inspired on all the ancient tribal flavor of Peru and dedicated to my dad who helped me go to the end of this giant city to get the paints and so much more.

The Match-Maker "cosmically connects people this Valentine’s Day. Guided by their zodiac sign, visitors arrange themselves at twelve points around the heart-shaped sculpture. Peering through colorful, interwoven periscopes provides glimpses of each viewer’s four most ideal astrological mates, offering potential novel connections between lonely souls or settled lovers.

The form of the sculpture is elusive, complex, symmetrical, and changes as viewers experience it from different vantage points. From many points of view it forms a perfect and iconic heart, from other perspectives it is a hopeless, broken mess."
