Established in 2010 with the aim to make films with a focus on strong complex female characters. Our short film First Bite (Film London, 2011) is a coming of age story about a 15 year old girl. Siren (2014) is a film about a woman exploring her sexuality and identity and went on to screen at numerous festivals including LSFF, Frameline and InsideOut Toronto.

Our Story

Freyja Films is a production company dedicated to telling character driven stories with a focus on female centric and q***r stories through the medium of film. Formally known as Dead Flower Productions (2009-2016), we are passionate about putting complex female characters at the centre of our narratives.

Our short Film London supported film BREATHE is currently enjoying its film festival run and our new short CONFESSIONAL is in post-production. A co-production with Little Rottweiler Films, and supported by Genera.
