Actors must be non-union, local to the Las Cruces, NM or El Paso, TX area and be available from 4pm -8pm on October 14, and from 8am -6pm on Oct. 15th and 16th.

WHAT:

▪️Saving Faith is a story about a highly successful Wall Street stockbroker and atheist, Bill Stewart, who is permanently injured from a previous accident while driving intoxicated. Two years later, Bill attends his first Alcoholic Anonymous meeting at a church at noon in the Financial District of Manhattan, NY after having caused the death of the driver of another vehicle. Bill is forced to grapple with his past, which now haunts him, and challenge his current life philosophy — or accept a higher power that might save his life.

ROLES NEEDED/CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS:

▪️FRANK APPLEMAN: Identifies as male, mid 30s -early 40s. Frank has worked at Goldman Sachs in New York City as a Finance Associate for 5 years after jumping around in between many different firms due to his alcoholism. Grew up in the Bronx. He wears an old suit, tie, wrinkled dress shirt with a stained and frayed collar. Looks tired. While all ethnicities will be considered, Asian-American, African-American and people of Jewish descent are encouraged to apply. Works all three days.

▪️JILL(JILLIAN) CARTER: Identifies as female, late 20s, single, 4 cats. Jill works for JP Morgan Chase at Westfield World Trade Center in New York City as an Automated Trading Associate. Corporate attire. She is dependable, practical, hard-working, studious and conservative. Although she has a facade of calm, her anxiety(why she drinks heavily when not at work) reveals itself in nervous tics like shaking a foot or fingers that are constantly moving. Grew up on Long Island. She is of mixed ethnicity and could be Syrian/Lebanese, Italian, Ashkenazi Jewish, or Latinx. All ethnicities will be considered. Works all three days.

▪️YOUNG BILL: Identifies as male. Caucasian. Looking for an actor 18 + years old who looks younger, 14 years old. Tall. slender build, dark hair. Comes from a wealthy family in NY, goes to boarding schools in NYC. Intelligent, but unhappy. Sweater vest, nice pants. Works the first two days.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS:

▪️STEP 1: Please email a headshot( if you have one) or a picture of just you from the shoulders up and a resume of your film/TV experience and acting training (email listed to below).

▪️STEP 2: Please email a SELF-TAPE(see SELF TAPE TIPS below) of you performing a 1- minute monologue of your choosing OR a short scene between you and another actor. If you have a short demo reel of your acting experience from other film projects you may include that as well.

▪️STEP 3: Include a slate of you talking to the camera that includes the following: Your name, height, and 30 seconds of a little about yourself.

‼️IMPORTANT NOTE‼️

✅We will ONLY accept Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive Links for self tapes, reels and slates (they can be private links). Any other type of submission will not be accepted.
