The Heap cometh… to Hoboken

Sept 22, 3PM - 7PM EST
A walking street performance will make its way from Jackson Street, the birthplace of Puppet Heap, to the Hoboken Historical Museum on September 22nd. It’s a long trip for these old bones—you never know where he might stop along the way!

We invite you to this very special opening reception for "The Heap", which will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2pm-5pm at 1301 Hudson Street. This exhibit is co-sponsored with the Hoboken Business Alliance.

The Heap is a larger than life puppet and elderly, eccentric gentleman who collects things on his back, representing anxieties, trauma, and memories. In fact, the entire town of Spudbottom can be found there! The exhibit itself will feature a multi-media installation depicting a glimpse of the Heap later in life, after his burden had become so heavy that he has sunk halfway into the earth.

A talented team has been diligently preparing this larger than life character. We are eagerly looking forward to The Heap's walk across Hoboken on September 22, and the opening reception on September 24. A huge thank you to Paul and the Puppet Heap team for bringing magic to Hoboken!
