Wild, Weird, Wonderful Weekender - Venue Spotlight!

The House of Bits has been Nashville’s home for fringe arts, especially burlesque, since 2020. Owned and operated by Betsey Bits, this studio and event space is dedicated to supporting artists while they learn, grow, create, and celebrate! A recently certified sober venue, this space is friendly to all good humans looking to be authentically themselves and express their experiences through art of all kinds.

Wild, Weird, Wonderful Weekender - Host / Producer Spotlight

There was once a little girl who dreamed of growing up to be a preacher’s wife...a few things have changed since then. She’s a classically-trained singer and musical theater performer who has done everything from Shakespeare to Kander and Ebb. You might recognize her from stages such as Land of the Sky Burlesque Festival where she was a headlining emcee their inaugural year, as well as the Chicago Burlypicks where she won Master of Singing and Comedy in 2020.
Remember her name, because you’ll be screaming it later when you Patsy Climax.

Come see the woman of many wigs yell about burlesque all weekend long at The House of Bits.

FEED ME! Burlesque Brunch & Feedback Panel - Kitten Spotlight!

Schuyler Phoenix has been working in theatre for over two decades. Her performances are a fusion of theatrical narrative and the art of tease. Schuyler’s art goes farther than on stage, she is a master of the behind the scenes. From dressing for national broadway tours to stage managing burlesque shows, she loves the rush of it all!

We also want to give a very special shout out to Schuyler for being our HKIC (head kitten in charge) for the entire Wild, Weird, Wonderful Weekender. She’s been a part of the Razorglam Productions family since the beginning and we are infinitely grateful for all her hard work.

Class Alert! Sexual Reconnection for Performers with Gem Brulee

9/22 4:30pm-5:30pm

In Sexual Reconnection for Performers, Gem will teach how to connect with yourself and how to stay in the moment. We will cover different exercises and breathing techniques to stay fully present in your sensual journey. Work on moving and learning a phrase of choreography. Then throw some love into it and make your own personality shine! Get out of your head and onto the dance floor as we combine choreography, improv, and just a little bit of silly to enjoy dancing burlesque.

While this weekly show may not be an official part of the Wild, Weird, Wonderful Weekender, we wanted this event series to be a way to drum up interest in ALL burlesque happening in Nashville.

Burlesk at Sid Gold’s is a fabulous weekly show hosted and produced by Viola Vainglory. It features a different cluster of talented performers each week in a gorgeous vintage bar setting.

Join us tomorrow at 8pm for the first unofficial kickoff to the weekender. $7 cover and two item minimum (may we recommend one of the delicious cocktails made with Corsair Artisan Distillery products). Stick around for live piano karaoke to see what song Patsy Climax decides to scream-sing this time.
