With getting back into consistent photo-ing after a tiny hiatus and the influx of people I've met over the past couple of weeks I feel like it's a good time as ever to introduce and re-introduce myself👋

Hi! My name is Veronika and I photo under the name Photolitsina. The name comes from making a photo pun out of my eastern european maiden name. I've been photo-ing under this name for five years but have been taking photos for way longer than that, probably since early university.

I like photo-ing people because of the range of emotions we have. I like building relationships with the people I photo, whether it's four seconds of eye contact during a live show or a ten hour day with a soon-to-be bride and groom on their wedding day. I like being in the moment when I'm taking photos and I love that I have an eye for documenting people in my own unique way.

Been accidentally MIA but I'm still here! Turns out wedding planning genuinely starts to occupy your time as the date gets closer 🤯

These past few months I've had the opportunity to capture a lot of precious memories. One in particular was my younger sister's civil ceremony and celebration that happened a little over a month ago. Being half older sister half photographer was definitely a whirlwind experience in the best way and amidst the flash flooding in Manhattan, last-minute changes of plans, and even surprise mariachi bands (checkout pic number six if you don't believe me!), and looked at each other like they're the only two that mattered and that's how it should be 💞

Happy belated 1 month anniversary 🍾🥂 Excited to have y'all on the squad when mine and Kieran do the dang thing in 8-ish months🎉

Had a fantastic time photo-ing and for their engagement last month! It was a chilly day but we definitely made the best of it. I found out the day of that Kristen is a huge Zelda fan, so having Prosser Pines as the background gave a surprise Lost Woods vibe that we didn't even plan on ✨

One of the most fulfilling things for me about photography is being able to capture the important milestones that the people I've been photo-ing for years go through. Literally nothing makes me more happy than being the person that can document something so intimate and personal and I'm so happy that friends and family trust me to do so.
