It's been awhile since our last travel video, but after the lessons we learned in this one, we're ready to get back on schedule!

We visited Yellowstone National Park back in August of 2020. In part 1, we discovered the park has it's own Grand Canyon, and in part 2, we finally get to see a couple of it's most iconic features. At the Grand Prismatic Spring, we learned why it's so important to stay on the boardwalks... unless you're a Bison. We also learned why you probably shouldn't wear a hat.

After a quick picnic (and some questionable fruit snacks), we got to witness the eruption of the world's most famous geyser, Old Faithful. Unfortunately, it wasn't as impressive as we thought it would be. It was right on time though, reminding me that sometimes, consistency means more than perfection.

Finally, the recent flooding in Yellowstone reminded everyone how destructive the forces of nature can be, but during our visit, Haley showed us what happens when you're brave enough to face the current.

After I lost my job back in 2020, we sold our house and bought a brand new 2021 Grand Design Reflection 31MB to live in and travel the country full time. Now that it's been two years, we'll show you how it's held up and give you an unbiased review of everything we love... and hate about this floorplan.

Oh yeah, we realize it's been almost a YEAR since our last video... but don't worry, we have some BIG NEWS to announce! You might even catch a glimpse of it if you watch until the end!

WE’RE BACK ON THE HIGHWAY!! It’s been a tough summer, and we were going crazy sitting in one place for so long. Now that we’re back on the road, everything just feel right again!

So many of you have checked in on us. I can’t tell you what a huge motivation that is. We’ll give you an update on YouTube this week, and then it’s back to our regular schedule! We love you guys!!

The windshield is bigger than the mirrors because you're supposed to focus on where you're going, not where you've been.

I know it's been a few weeks since our last YouTube video. There won't be one tonight either, and I'm sorry. Honestly, my mental health hasn't been great the past couple months. We had big plans for this summer but we had to put them on hold. First, our dog had surgery and we almost lost him... twice. Then our camper went into the shop for repairs, and after a year on the road, we finally realized that we didn't have a house to go back to. That hit us hard. When our plans changed, we'd lost our forward momentum, and all the worries we'd left behind finally caught up to us.

The truth is, even when you think you've found the right path in life, sometimes there are unexpected turns, and you have to know when to slow down before you crash. We're blessed to have the opportunity for new adventures every week, but we can't forget where we came from. That's part of our story too. Looking in the rearview isn't always a bad thing. It doesn't just show you where you've been, it also reminds you of who's following you. We have to lead them in the right direction, and we have to teach them how to get there safely.

We usually try to take the road less traveled, but there are some places everyone needs to see in their lifetime. Yellowstone National Park is one of those places. We stayed at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park and Cabins right outside the west entrance and we planned on getting an early start, but we woke up to find our main A/C unit wasn't working. A quick phone call to Grand Design RV helped us quickly figure out the problem and we were on our way, but by the time we got there, the main attractions were overflowing with people. That's when we discovered that Yellowstone has it's own Grand Canyon! We got a little lost, but we found the best view in the park, and Trish became overwhelmed with emotion... for good reason!

There's more to come from our visit to Yellowstone, so keep an eye out for part 2!

Today, the campgrounds are full of people grilling, spending time with family, and enjoying the weather, and that’s exactly how it should be. Remember the fallen, not by mourning their loss, but by enjoying the freedom they made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve. I promise you, that’s the way they would’ve wanted it! 🇺🇸

REAL TIME UPDATE: We're back in Tennessee for a few weeks before we hit the road again, and my cousin is about to get a taste of full-time RV life in his brand new 2021 Grand Design RV Reflection 312BHTS. With three kids, doing laundry in the rig is a necessity, so with the help of his father-in-law, we attempted to install a Splendide 2100XC washer/dryer combo.

I used to think laundry was no big deal since almost every campground has laundry facilities, but after a year on the road, I wish this was an option on our rig!

If you have a washer/dryer in your rig, did you let the shop install it or did you do it yourself? My cousin bought a brand new camper from Grand Design RV recently and we decided to tackle the project in his driveway. After almost two months on the road, we finally had the chance to relax by the fire at the West Glacier KOA Resort. Most of Glacier National Park was closed by the time we got there (August 2020), but we were able to take a scenic drive across the iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road. It's not for the faint of heart, however. Trish is terrified of heights, and winding our way up a narrow two-lane road on the side of a mountain was almost too much for her to handle!

I can’t wait to share our video from Glacier National Park! Unfortunately, it’s not gonna be tonight. 😫 Trish and I are both working on finals for our college classes and that has to take priority. Besides, this video is just too good to rush! Come back next week to check out the most incredible road we’ve ever driven. It’ll be worth the wait!

On our way to Glacier National Park, we stopped at a Wal-Mart and accidentally found the grave of famous daredevil Evel Knievel, and it left a lasting impression. After giving our camper it's first bath since we bought it, we spent the night at one of the most peaceful Harvest Hosts locations we've ever been to - The Silver Knot in Ronan, Montana. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains and this wonderful state took our breath away, but we were just getting started.

Imagine spending the rest of your life in a place like this. This truck worked hard for decades, and instead of rusting away in a scrapyard, it’s final resting place is a wedding venue called The Silver Knot in Ronan, Montana, one of the most peaceful Harvest Hosts locations we’ve ever stayed at. SHE WAS RIGHT! I'll admit it. After crossing into Montana, I tried to push the limits of my fuel gauge despite Trish telling me to stop. Unfortunately, we didn't quite make it and I got the whole family stuck in a thunderstorm for two hours. We made up for it the next day by visiting an alpaca farm!

This kid turns 12 today. Unbelievable. One more year and I’ll have a teenager. I know it’s cliché, but the older they get, the faster time flies by, and I’m so glad we decided to take them on this journey while we had the chance. Happy birthday Nick! 🎂

We're taking a break from the travel videos for a real time update from Florida! We've spent the past week at Lazydays RV Resort in Tampa and decided to rent a golf cart to do some camper shopping. We checked out a few toy haulers in the last video and found some amazing floorplans, but we love our mid-bunk and wanted to find one with a little more room. That's when we came across the brand new Grand Design Solitude 378MBS-R! It's a luxury mid-bunk fifth wheel that solves every issue we've had living in our current rig full-time. Could this be the one?

We're taking a break from the travel videos for a real time update from Florida! We've spent the past week at Lazydays RV Resort in Tampa and decided to rent a golf cart to do some camper shopping. We're not quite ready to upgrade yet, but we thought a toyhauler might be a good full-time rig for our family in the future. We started with a couple models from Grand Design - the Momentum 381M-R, and the Momentum 399TH-R with the Platinum paint job that I've had my eye on since Medora. We love our Grand Design, but neither one of the Momentums really fit the bill. That's when we found the Heartland Cyclone 4006, and we were absolutely blown away by the floorplan! Could it be enough to make us switch?

While making our way to Montana, we needed a place to stop in North Dakota, so we found a campground in a little town called Medora. I'd never heard of it, but they were known for the Medora Musical, documenting the life of Teddy Roosevelt, and they had a restaurant called Pitchfork Steak Fondue that serves deep-fried steak on a pitchfork. We couldn't pass that up! We also ran into a few surprises on a backroad near Sturgis and found the most incredible view of the Painted Canyon... at a rest stop!

We FINALLY checked Mount Rushmore National Memorial off our bucket list, but we were surprised to learn that it wasn't supposed to look like it does today! Did you know that the project was abruptly ended with only a fraction of it completed? The sad thing is, it will probably be that way forever.

A few miles up the road stands another monument that towers over Mount Rushmore. The Crazy Horse Memorial isn't finished either, but thanks to the vision of the Lakota Tribe and it's passionate sculptor, future generations will hopefully get to see the finished product.

We also checked out Bear Country USA, a drive through zoo where Haley got to see a real life "BooBoo" up close, and I learned a few things about myself from the sculptors that help me get the most out of this Full Time RV journey we call Highway Therapy.

I know it’s out of the normal time slot, but our trip to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse should go live before midnight tonight. You’ll still be up, right? Good. Me too!
