The ‘RISE’ festival premiere = Sawdust City Fright Fest 2022, Friday Oct 7th, 2022.
There’s nothing to say that’s appreciative enough. Anyone involved in our little production should definitely be proud, and give this a watch. The opportunity the Festival created for this die-hard passion project of ours is sort of beyond words. There was a time - not many years ago - when I was standing knee-deep in sewage trying to complete this. To be rewarded by heroes is indescribable. -Cole
Sawdust City Fright Fest 2022- We had such a good time. Saturday was filled with so much wonderful stuff from other incredible directors, we were riveted and in complete awe for about eight hours straight. Highlights of the 8th and many thanks! -Cole

This scene should have been easy to edit ... just myself and our actress talking. But the cicadas man. They wouldn't leave us alone. Whenever we strolled outside to shoot this quick bit, the cicadas just started SHRIEKING at us like the Body Snatchers or something. I think we shot this over two or three days (or more), but through the magic of editing - and absolutely no sleep for a few nights - I managed to replace those ramunctious insects with the sweet sound of sparrows. The audio in our little indie horror flick may not turn out perfect, still there won't be a single cicada heard in the whole damn thing. I WIN. HA HA

Out of curiosity, my fiance has been watching over the final audio mixing of "RISE" ... she witnessed me dubbing footsteps under people's feet from four am until four pm, cocked her head in my direction, looked me straight in the eye and said, "I wouldn't be able to do this. I would lose my mind." LOLZ "Welcome to my world hon." 🤣 -Cole
