'Benefit of the Doubt' (1993) - dir. Jonathan Heap

A lesser-known warped little thriller starring Donald Sutherland ... goes w/out saying he is a performer who will be immeasurably missed here. He was very present in his craft, always immersed in what he was doing, unforgettable and intense in every film he appeared in (no matter the quality of the final cut). A true artist.

Currently listening our new score ... Elija(h) Kolenko has composed an astounding, chilling original soundtrack for our upcoming project 'EVERY LAST MONSTER IN THE WORLD' - these are probably the most professional and textured compositions a musician has ever offered us. This score is simply amazing work, brought me to tears the first couple times I listened to it. Then (as always) Knocker is gonna come in and lay down some additional audio carpet, a theme song and soundscapes to thematically tie everything together.

I've been digging into these tracks all year, pretty much non-stop while writing the script. I can't imagine going into production without a completed soundtrack. It's essential for the cast/crew to know what the movie is going to FEEL like, and aside from the screenplay, the music is the best way of getting that across to them. I sometimes even play the songs on set, if time permits.

Still fine-tuning the final sequence, but ... COMING SOON. :) -Cole

‘THE CROW’ (original) re-release pre-show jam-fest. I haven’t seen this on the big screen in 30 years. Life has been so crazy recently, I actually didn’t realize how excited I was until we got in the car (and started blasting the soundtrack). This is tied for my favorite film of all time, it got me through some dark dark days. I’m glad it’s still around, and people are still loving it - tickets were practically sold out! Thanks to m’ lady for the surprise 😳❤️ -Cole

RISE is available on eBay in a killer DVD package, just in time for the Halloween season. No better time to live in the midwest than autumn ...
.. there's a digital release right around the corner, but I'll always be a fan of physical media. Streaming services drop flicks without notice every day, especially indies.🙂

New office door decoration. 🙂 Still working hard on 'RISE', promoting a film is obviously the most humiliating part of the process ("Here's my soul, put a dollar sign on it"), but we have to go for it. We're so proud of this sucker.

'RISE' physical release update. 🙂

Our funding only covers DVD production, but we've decided to fund a limited batch of Blu Rays ourselves as well. We'll be saving our pennies and looking for affordable Blu authoring software, it'll all be ready to go by summer. Then again, nothing makes the Gods laugh harder than a man's plans. lolz

Coming soon. Never give up ... never stop leaning toward that little stroke of good luck. If you work on something long enough, maybe good fortune knows where to find you.
