🚢 Annnnnd that’s a wrap on our first cruise! I swear, I’m sad about it — I just forgot to bring my sunglasses outside like 90% of the time. This here friends, was my morning coffee spot for two weeks, and on this particular day the coffee views were outstanding. We made our way through the majestic Queen Charlotte Sound en route to Picton in the South Island, New Zealand (one of our many exciting stops along the way).

We have of course filmed the entire journey for your viewing pleasure on YouTube! This will be a five part cruise series coming in Feb!

For now, we are back in Auckland, editing like mad, and already missing our cruise home. Until next time!

🍓There is a beautiful berry farm that we’d be meaning to go to for a while, so we thought creating our Auckland video was the perfect excuse to go and check it out! Welcome to - a beautiful berry farm and fun day out for all ages located in Riverhead. Here you can pick your own Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Boysenberries and Blueberries, depending on the season. Not only this but there is also a train! Real fruit ice cream! And a adventure and splash park! We were quite amazed the amount of things to do here. Oh and there’s also a cafe, of course… so you can grab a flat white ☕️ (NZ’s most frequently ordered coffee as we found out…)

It’s no secret we love to hunt for weird and wonderful stays around the world. How lucky for us that some of the most unique glampming retreats are nestled right here in our own backyard!? 👆🏼This here is a classic example of what’s on offer in New Zealand… located in the Waikato (just a few hours from Auckland) is this hidden fairytale stay, Underhill Valley. We spent a magical evening here in total seclusion off grid. We sipped wine, lit candles, played board games and watched the stars beside our private pond.

🗓️In 5 months I will marry my best friend in Sweden with all of our favourite people in the world by our side. It’s also crazy to think that by the time we get married, we will have been engaged for 5 years! We used to joke about that “what if we turned out to be a 5 year engagement” (we love that movie btw), and it happened! It’s going to be so good to finally call you my husband! 😅Do you think 5 years engaged is a long time?!?

In todays episode, I take a brief transit Chicago's beautiful Union Station after traveling for 54 hours on the California Zephyr. Here, I enjoy five hours in the Metropolitan Lounge, before boarding the second train of my journey, The Lake Shore Limited.

I’ve once again booked the 'cheapest' sleeping accomodation for my 19 hours onboard, also known as Amtrak's Viewliner Roomette. I'll show you exactly what the experience is like, from start to finish! Let's check out the dining, my roomette and the amenities, such as the on board shower! All while passing some of the prettiest shorelines of the USA - Lake Michigan, the Mohawk River, and the Erie Canal!

In this episode (part one of my journey), I board one of North Americas Most Scenic Trains - Amtrak's California Zephyr. This three day sleeper train will take me from San Francisco, across 7 different states, covering almost 4,000 km, eventually leaving me in Chicago.

I’ve booked the 'cheapest' sleeping accomodation for my 54 hours onboard, also known as Amtrak's Superliner Roomette. I'll show you exactly what the experience is like, from start to finish! Let's check out the dining, the amenities such as the observation lounge and the on board shower! Meanwhile, we'll be passing through the Sierra Nevadas, the Rocky Mountains, Moffat Tunnel, Colorado River and so many cute towns.

I am always on the hunt for unique stays around the globe, so when I was planning my solo trip to the USA, I knew I had to find a peculiar space to sleep.

Welcome to Yotel, San Francisco! I stayed in the Solo Sky Cabin. This small 8sqm space is modern, clean and well equipped with everything I could possibly need - but the best part? It's three levels! This unique layout is unlike anything else I've seen, and made for a very fun stay. It took me right back to childhood - think building forts and playing in tree houses. I'll take you for a full tour of my tiny hotel room, and show you all of the amenities that Yotel has on offer in todays YouTube episode!

This was my smallest hotel stay yet! At around 4.7 square metres in fact! Welcome to The Jane Hotel… located in the trendy West Village of NYC. Th3 Jane was originally built as a home for sailors back on 1908, but was restored for travellers like you and I could stay here!

And guess what, in 1912, the survivors of the Titanic stayed here until the end of the American Inquiry into the ship’s sinking. The surviving crew held a memorial service at the hotel four days after the ship sank😯

This hotel is not only full of history but just so happens to be one of the best budget accommodations in all of New York City. As long you are are cool with staying in a teeny room and sharing bathrooms, I can highly recommend👌🏼

I may have left my Ludvig at home, but for good reason! 1. He was not fond of the long train ride 2. He needs to keep wanting us money😂

When I visited last year in Edinburgh, we came up with this random idea that we should go back to NYC soon… one year later, we were here! LOVE making this happen❤️ We felt right at home! Dinner on the street in the middle of busy Manhattan streets!
