Its our 40th Anniversary Radiothon tomorrow on Northside Radio FM99.3 and on Sounds Alive on Sunday its a special Gospel Gold. We start with Billy Preston who got a special credit on a Beatles song and Ashley Cleveland doing a Washington Phillips vocal.

The Gospel Gold is a former member of Santana who performed @ Brookvale Ovel but who is it?

Our Double Play features a song written by Lou Read out of the Yardbirds sung by Glen Campbell but which one is it?

Whitney Houston then joins us.

Did you know Whitney was in utero when her mother Cissy was a member of the Sweet Inspirations group backing Elvis Presley?

Tomorrow is the start of a New Year and the Gospel Gold will be the man pictured but what will he be singing with his daughter; have a listen.

We start with Kim Walker-Smith (Jesus Culture) and "Wild Heart" followed by Matt Redman with the London Community Gospel Choir recorded in the "Beatles" studio; hear what they came up with.

The Triple play features Phillipa Hannah and "You're still God" something we need to remember, Chris O`Brien from his C3 days and "Holy" followed by a British rocker from way back who was originally billed as the "British Elvis" but what is the name of the vocal?

WE have a Talk to God, a few Events Happening since we are in holiday mode and close with Aretha Franklin with "What a Friend we Have in Jesus.

Sounds Alive on Sunday @ 6am 13March & Birthday Celebrations

So just before I tell you what is on the Gospel Gold this week here is an image taken with my friend Morna Harding as she & her husband Max hosted me to a birthday lunch. Morna & I originally met at an HSC study camp at Gilbulla way in the late 1960`s.

Gospel Gold this week is Denny Correll & the perennial favorite "Trust in His Love".

We open withe a Gospel Song & a song recorded by UNITED in Israel; but what are they? Have a listen.

The Triple Play features a worship leader who left her church to move to Romania to work among street kids plus a worship song recorded at Abbey Road studios. See if you can guess them ahead of the program.

Towards the end of the program we have Two Presley`s but what is the song & When was it first recorded? Have a listen tomorrow on Northside Radio on FM99.3 at 6am.

On Sounds Alive on Sunday (FM99.3) @ 6am tomorrow Noel Paul Stookey and the New York Choral Society share the Gospel Gold from a PBS TV special (see the album cover) with a very soothing, heartfelt and memorable version of "O Come O Come Emmanuel."

We start with a soulful "Hallelujah" chorus and a "new" carol from Matt Redman which came out last year.

The Start the Day Double Play has actor/ vocalist Heather Headley plus the Melbourne Gospel Choir but what are the songs? Listen for the Melbourne tram "ding ding" at the start of one of them.

The Triple Play features a new "Gospel sounding" version of some favorites as well as Keith and Kristen Getty. with Ladysmith Black Mamboza

The Start the Day will feature former mainstream vocalist Teri De Sario ( "Are you ready for Love") and a former Israeli based singer who touches the world with his absorbing vocals Paul Wilbur.
The Triple play is all Gospel with Mavis Staples, a new artist from Gateway Worship Todd Delaney and Joe Praize with the Soweto Gospel Choir but what are the songs? Have a listen.

Here is what you missed this morning on Sounds Alive on Sunday @ 6am on Northside Radio FM99.3 .

Leslie Phillips (or is it Sam?) was our Gospel Gold from "The Turning" reease of the mid eighties. Sam/Leslie later played the part of Katya in "Die Hard: with a Vengeance".

We started the program with "Wild Heart" from Kim Walker-Smith plus Matt Redman & the London Community Gospel Choir,

The Triple Play featured new artist Phillipa Hanna (who was looking at becoming an astronaut), "Holy" from Chris O`Brien when he lead worship @ C3 Oxford Falls, and "Whenever God Shines His Light" from Van Morrison and Cliff Richard.

Bernie Dymet stepped into the speakers for 59secs before the versatile Heather Headley shared "Here I am to Worship" together with Hezekiah Walker and "Every Praise"
