Giordana Angi plays the guitar, piano and bass and can sing a French “chanson” or emotional pop ballad with the same prowess and precision as she can a rock anthem or club record. Besides her innate talent and relentless energy, Giordana’s uniqueness may very well have to do with her upbringing across different cultures (she grew up between France and Italy), an itinerant childhood during which she had to assess and adapt quickly to new surroundings, and a search for the constant thread and creative fulfillment of making music.

Giordana’s three previous albums have been certified Platinum and Gold (x2) respectively in Italy where she has also had several number 1’s as a songwriter for other artists including multi-platinum superstar Tiziano Ferro .

Last autumn, Giordana had a top 10 single on the French radio chart with a song entitled “J’étais pas fait pour le bonheur” - duet with French superstar Pascal Obispo (shout out Pascal Obispo and Eric Lelievre )

Giordana has performed at the prestigious San Remo Song Festival and has appeared on various Italian television shows. She spent 5 years as a regular on the #1 most-viewed TV program in Italy, “Amici,” on which she not only performed but also coached and mentored other artists.

Giordana’s new album “she’s so great” is available now on Cherrytree Records. I wrote and produced songs on it as did Giordana, Sting, Antonio Iammarino, Fabio Brignone, Luca Zaliani, Diego Navaira and Emilio Navaira.

The album includes a song called “Il Nostro Amore” - the only non-English song on the collection - which features the one and only Sting. Giordana is opening on the “Sting 3.0” tour across Europe this summer starting this Monday, May 27th in Zagreb.

4X-Grammy-award-winning engineer Robert Orton mixed and mastered “she’s so great” and Tony Lake lent his engineering skill to the album.

For me, it’s an honor to write and play with Giordana. There is a lightness and an effortlessness to the writing and recording sessions that make collaborating with her a true delight.
