I am so in love with my new little teapot. My son gave it to me for the holidays and I use it every morning. I love seeing the color of the tea and it just brings the magic of drinking tea to life. And the flower teas taste like joy in a cup! ☕️

Well I spent the day trying to learn the Tunisian honeycomb stitch. But it is just not a fun stitch for me. It’s waaaay too easy to make a mistake and lose where I am. So, time to 🐸 Frog and get back something that I enjoy a little more. Thankfully there are so many beautiful stitches to try and I never get tired of learning new ones. 🧶

Quiet mornings are my time to set my intentions for the day, take time for self care, and drink my first cup of tea. I’m trying a new one today from , teas that are made in small batches and really are the best teas I’ve ever had. No, they aren’t paying me to say that. Today’s tea is Moringa Moon. Caffeine free and full of health benefits. It’s a little different from my usual blend. This one has ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper, nutmeg, and cloves! I was worried that it would be too much spice, but it is so good. I’ll definitely be adding it to my reorder list. ♥️ Time to start making magic!

This time of year, my kitchen is a mess. We have tomatoes and peppers in every big bowl and basket. I’m canning for hours and it creates a huge mess. But it’s my life and I wouldn’t want it any different.

Moist and fluffy with a slight crispness, yellow squash do instead make a delicious lemon bread. Drizzled with a simple lemon glaze, this might be out new summer treat! 🍋

Next batch: sweet chocolate mint tea. This variety was always a little tricky for me. The chocolate variety of mint is a little picky about where in the garden it sits. But this year it’s doing great all alone on the patio!

Every day, we find something new and exciting in the garden. I grabbed a couple baby carrots to check how the others are doing. They are so cute!! But they still need a few weeks. Carrots take a long time. I’m planning on planting them in the fall and letting them grow in the ground over the winter.
This week we also planted pumpkins 🎃 and some fall squash. Crazy that we are planning winter gardens in this heat! 🔥

Beauty care fresh from the garden! Mint witch hazel makes a soothing summer toner! Simply steep a handful of mint leaves in a jar of witch hazel for 2 weeks, strain and bottle! I like mine right out of the refrigerator for a cooling treat!

Last year I canned 20 jars of Thai Chili Garlic Sauce. Today I made this beautiful Soba Noodle Salad with fresh veggies and edible flowers from my garden to take to a potluck with my friends! Great day to be a canner!

Kombucha brewing! We had fun making some unique flavors this morning with our kombucha we have been brewing for the last month. I can’t wait to try them! Maybe not the “sewer juice” as much! 😆

I took some time off social media, focused on my crochet, worked on my mental health, and found some peace. Getting too overwhelmed with the world, work, and the 💩 really made me physically exhausted. But crochet brought me back to life and pushed my creativity forward. I’m good now!

This sweet lil baby blanket was an easy project before starting to learn Tunisian crochet. Nice and light, I love the colors.

One of my favorite kitchen spaces is my microgreen station. From easy chives to rare red amaranths, each week I start a new bunch. We use them for everything. Topping sandwiches and even as fresh herb seasonings for cooking.
