Magic City Con is coming back July 2025 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hey Hey Magic City Con Friends! I just wanted to update you all on a few things…

💻 Our website will be LIVE THIS MONDAY! It won’t have EVERY tiny detail on it (because we are still in the planning stages), but it will have everything we have as of now! It will also be AMAZING to have a space we can keep up to date with all the information as it comes out!

🐉 In case you missed it…our hotel room block link can be found here: https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/BHMHR/G-8MC1 However, the hotel has a 13 month booking window, so you will not be able to book until June and the date you’d like to check in. Once again, we reserved a smaller block this year, so they will go quickly! Set an alarm if this is something you’d like to book. You will need a credit card to hold your reservation, but you are not charged until you check in. If you’d like to change the card you pay with or pay with cash, you may do so at check in!

🛍️ Our Dealer’s Room is selling out FAST! We are so excited that so many of our favorite Vendors and Artists are returning to Magic City Con 2025! We can’t wait to start introducing them to you all this Winter! If you’re interested in a Dealer Booth or our Artist Alley - please message me or the Magic City Con page and I am more than happy to send you all of the information!

Saw this today and it made me smile. THISSSSS is what cosplaying does for a lot of people, it gives them self confidence and makes them feel good. I'm so glad Ryan Reynolds saw this and even commented on it.

My struggle is being a plus size black cosplayer when most characters I love are slim and YT.

I just can't believe this 😭😭😭😭😭 I refuse to believe this. I am not a person who deals with death vey well even though I am 36yo. When you tell me someone I've watched on TV and in movies, who always are happy when they meet fans committed su***de that really takes a toll because it hits close to home. Soo many people are not here struggling and you will never know because they know how to smile and make all those around them feel amazing. Always check on your friends especially those who are always there when you need them because who is there for them?

JASON DAVID FRANK - Official Fan Page was such an amazing person. I'm so glad I got to meet him at a few comic cons and actually talk to him in person. He really was sweet and so authentic, nothing in me wants to believe that I'll never get to see him again. This picture was from 2018 when he was in Birmingham, AL, I went up just to talk to him and introduce my kiddos and he was like "hey let's get a pic"

BREAKING - 6 Marvel movies delayed..

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is moving from March 25 2022 to May 6 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder has been pushed from May 6 2022 to July 8 2022.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever moves to November 11 2022 from its original spot of July 8 2022.

The Marvels , originally slated for November 11 2022, is now set to release on February 17 2023.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is no longer at the beginning of 2023 and will now release on 28 July 2023.

An untitled Marvel movie, which was set to release on November 10, 2023, has been moved up to November 3, 2023.

Pensacon is pleased to welcome a true pop culture icon and Star Trek's Hikaru Sulu - actor, author, activist and online raconteur George Takei!

George Takei is best known for his beloved role as Hikaru Sulu on the original “Star Trek” series, beginning in 1966. Takei has continued to portray Sulu through Star Trek: The Animated Series, six feature films, an episode of Star Trek: Voyager and multiple video games.

In addition to the Star Trek franchise and too many television guest roles to mention, Takei is known for films such as The Green Berets, the original animated Mulan and Kubo and the Two Strings, and for recurring roles on series such as Heroes.

As a pop culture icon, he’s also frequently appeared as himself in movies and on televsion, including appearances in You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, Entourage, 3rd Rock From the Sun, Futurama, Malcolm in the Middle, Psych, Will & Grace, The Big Bang Theory and Community.

Notably, he was also the first major Star Trek star to cross over to the Star Wars universe, playing Lok Durd in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.Takei also serves as a frequent guest announcer for The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM satellite radio.

Takei is well-known as an online presence, using his social media platforms to share humor and activism with millions of followers.
