.. New stations going on the air, an established station going BACK on the air, a couple of stations going silent and a license cancellation are all in the mix today .. Let's break it down ..
. First, WRML-LP, 107.9 in Mays Landing NJ has gone back on the air, as of 6/12 .. They had been silent since April 15 because of technical issues ..
. WCLP-LP, 98.3 in Lake Placid NY went silent on 6/5 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"WCLP-LP lost access to its licensed transmitter site and is now unable to broadcast.
This is to request a 180 day silent special temporary authorization to secure a new transmitter site.
The public interest, convenience and necessity would be served by a grant of this request."
. KFTN-LP, 92.7 in Fenton MO went silent on 5/17 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"On May 17, 2024, LPFM Station KFTN-LP went silent due to closure of the high school for Summer Vacation Break.
Students do not have access during the summer; and the school does not allow remote computer access of the Automation system for uploading programming; or making changes and addition to daily programs; monitoring of EAS, etc.
We respectfully request up to 180 days to remain silent.
A Resumption of Operations Notification will be sent as soon as KFTN resumes normal operation."
. WMQY-LP, 103.7 in Smyrna TN has filed a "license to cover" to go on the air .. The station, known on-air as "Smyrna's Gospel Harmony", features a southern gospel format and streams via their website: https://wmqy.org ..
. KTNU-LP, 94.7 in Tonasket WA has also filed to go on the air .. The station doesn't have an online presence, as of yet however ..
. And, finally, KFLK-LP, 95.9 in Minot ND turned in their license today and for good reason .. They are getting ready to sign on their new station on 88.1 with a full 100,000 watts covering Minot and beyond ... The station features religious programming as "The Flock" ..

. The first five grants are from "CPC Of The WMM", which stands for Christian Pentecost Church Of The Worldwide Missionary Movement .. . This is a nationwide Spanish religious organization with local churches scattered across the country ... In Spanish, the "WMM" is "MMM" (Movimiento Misionero Mundial) ... I was able to find pages for all the local churches that were granted a CP, and they are listed on the LPFMDatabase.com website under their respective states ..

"We are requesting to go silent due to a lack of resources and personnel to operate the station at this time."

.. No new grants or call letters today, but we had a few stations file a "license to cover" to go on the air ..
. WVFF-LP, 97.7 in Cottageville SC is on the air and according to their website, they feature "the best in talk, country, bluegrass and gospel" .. although, I did listen to their stream and I heard some rock, pop, oldies and R&B in the mix too ... WVFF-LP's website and stream are at: https://wvffradio.com ..
. WDZK-LP, 106.7 in Priceville AL is also on the air, but they don't appear to have any online presence, as of yet ..
. And, a peculiar situation involving Mike Stewart Productions, which already has WMSZ-LP on 95.9 .. . They applied for a new station on 99.7, which was granted on April 5 .. But, it appears, according to their page, that they've been operating 99.7 since March 26, before the CP was even approved by the FCC ... Now, today they filed a "license to cover" for 99.7, even though it doesn't have any call letters and they never filed to cancel the 95.9 license .. They did attach a note to their "license to cover" that they divested 95.9 and WMSZ-LP, as of March 31, but it has yet to be cancelled by the FCC ... The old 95.9 (and 99.7) are featuring classic rock programming fed via "Class X Radio" ..
. And, WQMR-LP, 101.3 in Rocky Mount VA turned in their license today .. Their statement to the FCC:

"Brameldon Productions, Inc. (“Brameldon”) was a Virginia non-profit corporation.
The organization had only one director, Donald Mattingly.
On March 2, 2024, the organization was declared inactive by the Virginia Secretary of State due to failure to file an annual report and/or payment of annual registration fees.
On March 8, 2024, Donald Mattingly, the sole party to the licensee had passed away.
On May 10, 2024, pursuant to the Virginia Small Estate Act, Donald’s son, Brandon Mattingly was declared as sole successor and therefore is now responsible for handling his affairs.
As Brandon Mattingly is now the successor to Donald Mattingly, he is requesting that the above captioned license be surrendered for cancellation."

"Our station was flooded multiple times in the recent storms.
We have lost the entire structure due to over 6 feet of water.
This location will have to be demolished.
We are working on repairing or replacing the equipment that was affected and will need to file a mod to move to a new location.
