This is pEarl. The p is silent, as in pterodactyl. He was a surprise (hence the name adaptation), but he has been the best surprise! Earl is considerate and only crows between the hours of 5 and 9 am. He looks after his girls and keeps everyone in line. And, so far, he is a very sweet boy who loves to eat! So glad we ended up with this handsome boy!

This is Gertrude. She was one of the first 4 chickens we got to start our little homestead. She was a very calm chicken who didn’t mind being picked up and let everyone know she was the boss. Unfortunately, she ended up with a very large tumor in her reproductive tract that we didn’t know about until it was too late. She lives her last days getting pampered and lived on as an indoor chicken. Today she can finally feel better and be free from suffering. We will always love and miss Gertrude!

Introducing our newest on the , Dwight “Threat Level Midnight”! He is so sweet and adjusting to really well! He also loves playing, eating, sleeping, and trying to be just like his big sister 🥰 Looking forward to many yet to come!

A BEAUTIFUL day today! This morning we visited Mt. Bachelor and got to play in the snow. This afternoon was so gorgeous that we walked along the , where Millie got to romp in the water while we ate our ice cream. Couldn’t ask for a better end to our !

A beautiful first night in the mountains. With a late start and an unknown destination, we couldn’t have landed at a better spot! Just off Highway 20 in the Jackson Demonstration Forest, the campground was right on a creek, well shaded, and even had a potty! The only downside was the mosquitos 🤷🏼‍♀️ @ Jackson State Forest

Getting ready for our next adventure with a new sunroof! While easy in theory, it proved a little more difficult than we first thought. But with 3 sets of hands, we got it back in! Our adventure dog can’t wait to adventure again!
