In the basement of old St. Bernard Catholic Church school of Cologne there is taxidermy collection stored in glass and wood cabinets that parishioners are trying to determine the origins and what to do with it. The taxidermy was created as early as 1911 by nuns at an associated convent, according to historians. The convent was established in 1880, and the school was built in 1954. It is currently vacant and unused.

Back in the days of small country Catholic schools, nuns taught and did everything – even taxidermy.
