My friends, a new Chamber Mage song from the album dropping this month on Nameless Grave Records is streaming along with a KILLER writeup at No Clean Singing! I guess this time... there's some clean singing?

We're premiering a heart-jumping battle anthem by Colorado-based Chamber Mage off their debut album "By The Light Of Emerald Gods" (coming out later this month on Nameless Grave Records). This is a big and well-earned exception to our "rule" about singing. It also delivers glorious riffs galore, pulse-pounding gallops, blazing solo work, and mystical melodies, the stuff of swords and sorcery. Check it out via the comment link below.

BIG THINGS COMING. Nameless Grave Records is partnering to launch a new festival alongside Amy Lee Carlson and NW Metalworx Music as a sort of spiritual continuation to NW MetalFest. Mark your calendars for August 1 and August 2 at the Substation in Seattle. This will be a powerful showcase of old school and new school PNW might with some outside guests as well. Keep an eye on this page. Heavy metal lives!

There is a new single coming soon for the upcoming Chamber Mage album that is dropping on Nameless Grave Records next month; seems a good time to ask if you've heard the first one yet? I first heard these guys via playing with them at Legions Of Metal Festival in Chicago and was pretty blown away and was just thinking about how good they are live when I stumbled on this video. For those of you that ordered the new reissue of Ludicra's The Tenant on CD, I'm sorry for the delay- there was a holdup with the spot gloss that took a bit of extra time, and then some uncertainty with the changing tariff plans since I have my CDs made in Canada (that thankfully ended up getting pushed off, letting the CDs ship), and they're in the mail on the way to the Nameless Grave Records warehouse now. They should be here and shipping any day.

In the meantime- did you ever read the Ludicra section in USBM by Daniel Lake, published by Decibel Magazine? It's more than 20 pages and would be a great companion to the reissue if you don't own the book already and a great way to kill some time in a nice way!

At the foot of Pikes Peak in Colorado, Chamber Mage emerged with the spring melt in 2021 and spent the next few years at the edge of the Rocky Mountains furiously honing a focused heavy metal craft inspired by a mixture of early European power metal, the NWOBHM, and the deadliest of United States Power Metal to create their own unique sound. 2022 brought a well-received demo and on that demo, the band booked a series of shows that would take them across the years as they continued writing, both supporting classic groups such as Thor and Riot as well as newer legends in the making like Solicitor and Castle Rat. These years of cutting their teeth and sharpening their edge led to festival dates at celebrated American events such as Legions of Metal, Frozen in Time, and Stormbringer, with an upcoming appearance at Hell’s Heroes confirming what the band’s road-won fans already know: Chamber Mage is the real deal.

Though still a fairly new band, Chamber Mage is the result of years of scene experience and shows a band that has a maturity of vision that blends well with the energy and passion that they bring to the table. The result is an album that will stand the test of time: By Light of Emerald Gods.

Highly recommended for fans of Visigoth, Jag Panzer, Nocturnal Rites, Armored Saint, and Manilla Road.
