This is truly devastating news. I have SO many fond memories of times spent at Brouwer's with great friends, great beers, and great food.
I never even considered this possibility. Brouwer's is immortal to me and will live on in my heart. Cheers!
We’ve always wanted to stay true to our vision of providing a place where people could find the best craft beer from around the world, they could enjoy excellent food at more casual prices, and they could be treated to an experience unlike any other establishment. And, we’ve been doing that for 19 years now!
In the early years we had days with people 3 deep at the bar because they just had to have that special release beer, and our festivals caused lines around the block. The energy was high, we were at the forefront of the beer scene, and it was a lot of fun for our customers and our staff.
So, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of Brouwer’s Café. We helped pave the way for what is now an amazing craft beer community in Seattle, but consumers have changed, the market has changed, and even the Fremont neighborhood has changed.
We would like to thank all the Breweries, the Washington Brewers Guild, the good people of Fremont, and all our guests near and far, the P.N.C. and most of all our staff from past and present for your dedication to the pursuit of fine beer and bringing joy to others. Love and respect!
We feel honored to have been part of this amazing community for so long, and we cherish all the incredible friendships we’ve made along the way. The good news is we still have time to drink, tell stories, and celebrate together. Our plan to close on June 29th. We will be closed tonight and tomorrow, and return to our regular hours on Wednesday! So, come in and visit us, help us kick some kegs and empty our coolers.
Cheers
