I got started in the business as a music producer. I went from producing for tri-state talent to scoring commercials for global corporations.

I evolved my music and audio expertise into Sound operations for film production. Boom Operation, Sound Design, 7.1 Surroud Sound Mixing, composing and scoring.

This was truly worth all the efforts to make it happen. This is a beautiful film filled with beautiful people. I was blessed to be apart of the production to experience the culture that surrounded the film. I was challenged in many ways to get the job done but it was worth ever push to make it happen. I wore many hats as the location sound mixer, AD, Audio Engineer, 5.1 surround sound mix, it was a lot. But seeing the appreciation of everyone involved taught me a lot about my self and the profession I’m in. Always do your best for yourself and everyone that was involved. It’s not just about you it’s about the collective.

As a 1st AD (Assistant Director) there’s a lot to manage. My main job is to control the set and to prevent distractions from my Director so he can put all his focus into telling the story.

Every department deals with Me and and on occasion .

Me and gather our shot list in pre-production so the day is planned out logistically. Every hour of the day is accounted for.

When production has started my intention is to make the day go as smooth as possible for everyone. I have to put priorities first, and having a great crew that’s on the same page is the best. Time is the challenge. And nothing ever goes 100 percent perfect.

When the crew is happy it makes the day go by fast but when the vibe is sh*tty the day drags. As professionals we must do our duties and get the job done and put ego aside. If you agree to a job do it to the best of your ability.

We start the day with a production meeting to iron out details and set expectations. As you grow in your area of expertise, you will gain more clarity for yourself and the other professionals around you.

In production it’s about the value you can put on screen. But before it hits the screen it starts ON SET.
