Tuesday, June 6th is Primary Election Day, and we need your support for the Democratic leaders who are standing up for our communities. Our County Commissioners continue to deliver high quality services for our residents, without raising taxes for 5 consecutive years - the ONLY county in the state to do so.

Passaic County Democratic Chairman John Currie Announces Newest Democratic County Commissioner

Passaic County Democratic Chairman John Currie is pleased to announce the appointment of Orlando Cruz as the newest member of the Passaic County Democratic team. Orlando Cruz is a Passaic County resident with an extensive history of community service.

Mr. Cruz currently serves as the President of both the Greater Paterson and Wayne Chambers of Commerce, and as the Executive Director of the Downtown Paterson Special Improvement District, Inc. He has also demonstrated his dedication to serving the people of Passaic County by serving on various non-profit boards and government committees.

"I am thrilled to welcome Orlando Cruz to our Democratic team in Passaic County. His experience in community service and leadership will be invaluable to our efforts to improve the lives of our residents. I am confident that he will be a strong advocate for the people of Passaic County," said Chairman Currie.

Overview:
An arctic front tracks through the region late Tonight, ushering in a brief shot of dangerous cold air Friday into Saturday. Wind gusts up to 45 mph behind the frontal passage will lead to wind chill values well below zero Friday afternoon into Saturday afternoon.

Although it will be a brief arctic blast, after an unseasonably mild January, hypothermia is possible if proper precautions are not taken. Frostbite may occur in as little as 15 to 30 minutes on exposed skin. In addition, poorly insulated water lines along exterior walls could freeze and burst.

Passaic County Democratic Committee Reaching Out To County Residents Interested in Political Office

Woodland Park, NJ- January, 2023-- Passaic County Democratic Chairman John Currie and the Passaic County Democratic Committee are seeking candidates interested in interviewing for elected positions up for election in November 2023. The county-wide offices on the ballot include Passaic County Clerk and Passaic County Commissioner, as well as local offices in some municipalities.

“As Chairman of the Passaic County Democratic Party, I work closely with our local Democratic Municipal Leaders to find qualified residents who are interested in public service and potentially running as candidates for elective office,” said Chairman Currie.

Those interested in possible candidacy for county elected offices should contact Rita Pascrell in the Passaic County Democratic Committee (PCDC) office at (973) 279-4647 or by email at [email protected]. Rita will provide a candidate questionnaire, which needs to be completed prior to going through the screening and interview process.

Anyone who would like to participate in the candidate screening process should also be prepared to send a resume and letter expressing their interest along with the completed candidate questionnaire by close of business on February 8, 2023. The information can be sent by email at the address above or delivered to 668 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park.

In addition, current elected representatives who wish to seek re-election in November 2023 need to send a letter expressing their desire to seek support from the PCDC to Chairman John Currie.

EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING INFORMATION - TODAY IS THE FINAL DAY!

Residents of Prospect Park, please be advised today, Sunday, November 6, 2022 is the last day for early in-person. Early voting sites will be open from 10 AM to 6 PM. The nearest early voting site to Prospect Park is located at the Haledon Recreation Center at 83 Roe St, Haledon, NJ. When you go there, you will be able to vote on a Prospect Park ballot.

We urge all of our residents to exercise their civic duty by casting their ballots.
