Our Story
April 15, 2018 Dj Tech Ent. will be hosting the 3rd Annual DJ Cypher and battler in Cleveland, OH. DJ Tech started the Cypher in 2016 with the idea of DJs getting together to discuss the industry and ways to improve it as well as share their skills and talent with each other. This year the cypher is back and better than ever! New components have been added to this year’s event. The major addition to the event is artist performances. In the past artist have not performed during the event but this year three of Cleveland’s hottest will bless the stage. Also, this year DJ Tech has added a raffle in which participants will have the opportunity to win prizes from the event sponsors. Last but not least, 10% of the ticket sales will be donated to the Rainey Institute. The location for this year’s cypher is Label 78 Restaurant and Lounge. Label 78 recently opened at the end of last year but has quickly became a Cleveland hot spot. In addition, the food will also be provided by Label 78 and will be included in the ticket price. “My goal was to create an event where DJ Legends and break-out artists can come together, share their talent and knowledge, and have a great time!” - DJ Tech DJ Tech and his show “Hip Hop on the 216 Block” first aired in January of 2000 on WRUW FM 91.1. Since then the show has been nominated best college radio show six times at the Ohio Hip Hop Awards and won three times.
