I'd like to emphasize how important hydration is. 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 before you start recording, and also sip water during your session. This prevents your mouth from becoming dry. Dry mouths produce sticky saliva and that means more mouth noise. Do your audio recordings a favor and 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱! 😁

An agent is responsible for finding you work. They don’t charge you anything for working with you, but will take a commission from any job they find for you. Don’t rely on agents to bring you a lot of work, especially if you’re new. You’ll be much more successful if you go after the clients yourself and create a relationship. Plus, you won’t have to split the revenue!

Your audio will sound different depending on the size of your booth. Small booths have a much different sound than bigger booths. Usually smaller booths pick up more bass in your voice. Large booths have a higher tendency to echo if not treated well. Even the shape of the booth, square or rectangle can color your audio differently! Most importantly, make sure your booth is treated. This means it has no reflections when you speak.
