We are thrilled to announce our second artist profile for Strange Sounds Studio! This time, we're heading over to the USA to spotlight some incredible talent from our friends to the South. Originally hailing from Huntington Beach, CA, GRIMEE is an artist who has never stayed in one place for long but has always been blessed with remarkable musical talent. Now based near Chicago, his original basses and unique sound design are guaranteed to scratch all the itches in your brain.

GRIMEE's mission is to create music that offers people a chance to escape the mundane and challenging aspects of life through the power of sound. With releases on The WiddFam and a strong, positive connection to the bass scene, we are ecstatic to host his latest track, "Basement Joint," which will be dropping on 📅 AUGUST 9th, 2024. 📅

Our first artist spotlight is adekn. This producer/DJ is located in British Columbia, Canada. He is a massive part of the bass music culture in the province's southern region and is co-host of the Deep Roots Music Festival. He is also an integral part of the Heavy Mellow Movement. He likes his bass heavy but still wants to keep it chill. We are honored to announce hosting an upcoming release of his on Strange Sounds Studio. Check out local label artist Firshur with his lofi and hip-hop side project Quietdude.

His new EP "NOT SO QUIET VOL.1" is dropping on June. 29th. This collection is short and sweet and is a showcase of hip-hop old and new alike.

It's not our usual serving of deep bass but believe us when we say this EP has some heaters on deck for any hip-hop lovers out there.

This is a break off into some heavier hip-hop beat experimentation and an ode to 90's Memphis style hip-hop and modern Phonk.
