‼️ Tip: Japan has a great amount of refreshing and sweet drinks for those hot theme park days and one of the ones that did stand out during our trip was this Jaws drink. I highly recommend trying it if you’re visiting around Spring/Summer time.

‼️ Tip: Kyodong Jjamppong is located inside the Arirang Supermarket at the Korea Plaza on Garden Grove Blvd. It is a must-try inside the food court that gets quite busy during lunch time on the weekends so if you’re into hidden gems, give it a try on your next visit to the area!

‼️ Tip: This parade is very popular so I recommend finding a spot 30 minutes to 1 hour before the start time. However, this parade is unlike ones you might be used to in the States. There are many points in the parade where the floats stop and the crowds rush forward, forming dance circles around the performers and floats. Something that you can’t even imagine in Western countries but Japanese citizens are so orderly, once the parade performers tell viewers it’s time to step back so the floats can continue down the parade route, they rush back to where they’re supposed to be. You may get a chance to get better viewing spots during these portions if you refrain from rushing in like us. You could say we were shocked when we saw that. 😆 It would never be allowed at theme parks back home.

‼️ Tip: Get there AN HOUR EARLY! We powered through City Walk and made it just in time to snag a good spot towards the front of the line to enter the park. This is important so you can snag reservations for Super Nintendo World as soon as you scan your entry ticket into the park. Follow the crowds and that’s where everyone will be headed. And they let us in 15 minutes before opening so keep that in mind!

‼️ Tip: If you love spicy food then go ham on the menu but if you can’t or aren’t the biggest fan of spicy food, there are still great options for you! Stick to the mild mala tang since the mala stir-fry is available spicy only.
The rose tteokbbokki and the crispy scallion mini pancake are both not spicy at all and the cheese buldak is too good to miss and the sweetness of it combats the spiciness. Try it for date night!
Background: Pixiu Mala Hongtang is the first Korean-style Malatang. Malatang originated in Sichuan, China as a common street food hot pot dish. Malatang is named after the key ingredient: the mala sauce, which is a combination of Sichuan pepper and dried chilli pepper. So this dish is originally meant to be spicy but it’s nice that Pixiu Mala Hongtang offers a non-spicy option too.
