Saturday vibes..

Mitch brought me his xg ute recently.
He had fitted and elite 750 but couldn't get it to run properly.

Fitted with a 6boost manifold and 3584r turbo the ol intech looks and sounds good

There were a few wiring gremlins (still are)

I re-wired the injectors to fix one of the issues it was having
wired up the fans to the ecu as he just had them on a switch (one of those things that gets on my nerves)
Hooked up the boost controler to the ecu
And went over it and got it tuned

It made a best of 411hp on 14psi through the t5 but the fuel pump said no so I dialed it back to a healthy 388hp hopfully keeping the ol t5 together a bit longer.

Keen to see it come back with a better trans and some fresh wiring and really crank some boost into it and see how it goes..

I guess I need to buy another g42 1450 now 🤔

Aftermarket pistons and rods
Custom cam grind unsure of specs
Ported and polished heads
Bosh 1150cc injectors
Dual fuel pumps
Haltech gm sport calling the shots
Arashi 3076 turbo
Custom turbo manifolds
Turbo smart wastegate
Unknown converter (suspected blowing through it)
E85

Made a best of 530hp at 20psi 1100nm of torque through the glide.. could do with a turbo upgrade and a new converter but other than its a monster of a setup keen to see where it goes in the future..

Couple of tunes through last couple of days..

First one this morning a vs ute in for a couple bits and peices and a tune

Stock l67
Yella terra snout with 87mm pulley
Unleaded fuel
Manual
Tuned with the stock delco ecu

It made a peak of 243hp at the tyre with a peak boost of a popping 7.5psi at the manifold definitely a solid little setup.. with some more refinement and a few upgrades it could make for a stout car

Second one was on Saturday

1965 mustang
Very nice car inside and out

340 something ci engine
4/71 blower fitted
Holley carb
C4 trans
3000 ish stall

Tuned with screwdrivers and hammers
It made a peak of 366hp at the tyre at wich point the fuel pump said no and didn't want to deliver enough for to supply the engine so we had to call it there.. customer is going to upgrade said pump and a couple of other bits and peices and return to see what it makes with enough of a fuel supply for it wich I'm keen to see..

Sweet little 86 in for what was supposed to be just a quick tickle up on the tune but ended up needing complete retuning...

Mounted the right way around in the 86
Unleaded fuel
An old motec m4 calling the shots
Tuning of it was done on an old pc on the passenger floor (I didn't have a laptop old enough atm to communicate with it)
Power rolled over at around 7500rpm so left it there

Made a best of 159hp to the tyre would be a blast to drive like that.. (makes a tiny bit more than most stock v6 commos in a car half its weight) keen to see how it goes out at a track and keen to see what it would put down with a little ethanol fueling it if it ever gets a chance for some 😊

Hey there my fb freinds.

I'm in need of a bit of help making up my mind, I recently purchased this vc to be the base for a car I've wanted to build for a long time (20+yrs) I purchased it due to being setup for the platform I want to put in it as well as having a chunk of the work I wanted to do anyway already done..

now here's the part I can't make up my mind on although it presents well the paint that was done on it isn't at the standard I want for the car (being a car I've wanted to build for so long I want it to be as nice as possible) there's some imperfections and other stuff in the paint now I've spoken to and handfull of people I know about it and they are all in agreement with just building it as is, so my question is do I accept the paint is what it is that it presents well enough and build the car as it is and re-paint it at a later date or do I take the time and strip it down and re-paint it now before I start the build?

I'm curious what your thoughts are on it I'm going to be thinking about it alot over the next couple of months..

I know alot of you are wanting to see ethel and its coming how I decide to proceed with this will also dictate when ethel returns (before this build or after it)

Retune on glen's vu after installing a new ecu and haltech dash turned it down a little from its previous tune doe to be out of injector and pump..

Still good hp for the boost and will be a blast to drive around in.

A few tunes in for the last couple of weeks

A ve ss l77 auto with a cam and stall rolled off 380hp

A Chevy Bellair with a sbc and a 6/71 and twin 650dp carbs (had to bust out the nice flat blades for it) made about 300hp

And lastly today a vf lfx v6 in for a tune with 91 in the tank I was able to still get it to pick up 24hp and a heap of drivabillity

Parked the blue sh*tbox under the other blue sh*tbox today..Really want to get back into getting ethel back on the road....

Really want to get back into getting ethel back on the road.. i wanted to have that happen early last yeah but circumstances just didn't allow that so moving forward I'd like to get a start back in on it, all going well Jan next year so I can move onto the other couple of builds I have planned as one of them has been a dream of mine for the last 20+ years

Also I have some plans for the blue ute thing to get it to hook better asap 😊

Still enjoy seeing the meats on the back of ethel every time I'm in the shed 😁

Tuned on the stock vy ecu

It made 300hp on 12 psi increased it to 14 but made no extra power so there is something limiting it but was happy to call it there any way as to not make the stock 4l60 to unhappy about being behind it with its 850nm of torque

Pretty cool rig will be good to see it out smashing some sets

Supplied and fabbed custom 3.5inch down pipe

Modified and fitted turbosmart 45 gate to fit supplied pulsar turbo

Modified wastegate down tube for screamer pipe action

Many many hours of removing and fitting the turbo later and it all came out very nice

Modified and fitted intercooler piping

Supplied and fitted new intake pipe ro fit new pulsar turbo intake

Very happy with how it came out 😊

So the cats out of the bag, Here's dazzas new engine combo Sbe 5.3 ls with ring gap Crow cams 1288 cam 862 cyl heads (lightly ported stock vales) Pac dual valve springs Ls9 gaskets (bit of a story there) Areoflow rockers with trunion upgrade Crow hd pushrods Arp head studs 2200cc injectors Haltech rebel ls calling the shots Ls7 areoflow coils Btr equaliser intake Double row timing chain Cfb performance 4 into 1 turbo manifolds Sde converter Same hooked on Trailers built powerglide as always Stock diff 😬 All built in house from start to finnish including tuned and making some jam the little 5.3 definitely putting in the work and hits different.. video to come this week hopfully if I have the time.

Definitely sounding crankier let's see what this sbe l67 has got now that the restriction has been opened up 😁 tho I don't give this bitsa engine alot of hope at survival.. shall see
