I will go first, Roman 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This gives me faith that I am unconditionally loved, and that no matter what I am going through or facing at any given time in my life, nothing will change how Jesus feels about me, and I hope to develop the same love for him.

No desires, aspirations, or anything else, just complete surrender to His will over my life and faith that He knows what is best for me.

There is a glaring similarity in these two events: God’s direction was to “stand still, and He would provide a way.

On the other hand, there is also a glaring difference. At the Red Sea, the people were to stand still and watch God open the path ahead. The sea parted before anyone stepped into it. At the Jordan River, the men were told to stand still in the Jordan first, and then God would open the path. The waters didn’t part until after they stepped in.

One thing is certain: in crossing the Red Sea, the children of Israel were coming out of a horrible situation. However, in the crossing of the Jordan River, the children of Israel were entering something essentially great, albeit not without its challenges.

The truth is, you cannot come into something amazing without encountering a load of hurdles. Whether it's passing an exam, starting a business, entering a career, getting married, having children, making money or achieving a ministerial purpose, living in the fullness of God's word, improving your spiritual gift, name it, you cannot achieve any of those or more without facing struggles and having to put in effort. You cannot even read your Bible and pray without struggling at first.

The devil doesn't want anything good for us, so yes, he will attack us, discourage us, instill fear, and push us to our limits just so we can give up, especially when we are almost there. Do not give up! The reason this is difficult is because there is something wonderful beyond Jordan. It is the Promised Land. Amen!

Since I made the decision in 2022 to follow and not doubt His love for me, it has been a rollercoaster of long trials. However, I have learnt to navigate this world by putting my trust solely in Jesus and believing in the unseen rather than what my reality is.

So though there are times His silence makes me anxious and I seem lost in the path he has set before me, I keep moving with joy in my heart. That is what "walk by faith and not by sight" means; just keep believing, staring at the cross, and refusing to blink an eye. Yes!

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2Cor 5:7

We are called to win souls!

28/06/2024

We often find ourselves in state of crossing and transition after times of being stuck in a wilderness.
We have had to endure some form of hunger and loss during what seemed to be a never-ending journey.

But in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come to an end of it. Amen.

Note this! We are fighting from victory, not for victory!

Jesus has already fought the ultimate battle on the cross and won! Glory.

We must learn to step out in faith to cross the many jordans in our lives in other to grow.

Numbers 14: 1-4
Why do you keep yearning for the past? Why are you afraid of change?
We become stagnate and depressed often because we long for "the way it used to be."

Ecclesiastes 7:10 (MSG) says; Don’t always be asking, “Where are the good old days?”
Wise folks don’t ask questions like that.

When Israel confronted the Red Sea, they wanted to go back to Egypt. It appeared all previous miracles had been in vain, and when they heard the report of the other 10 spies in Num 13:32–33, they began throwing tantrums like children who needed to be spoon-fed, crying, "Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?" This is laughable because, for much of the time they spent in Egypt, they were much like slaves.

Many of us, like the children of Israel, were fed Manna and grew up with an entitlement mentality, so when we are faced with any discomfort, we begin to ask for the non-existence "good old days," and because of this, we've spent our lives walking around in circles because we were constantly looking for the past. Stop looking back!

Jordan symbolises a place of transition in our lives. Madam, you're in a period of transition! God wants you to follow Him into the river, not afraid of the change. He is urging you to embrace the change!

We can never remain the same.

Numbers 13: 25-end, Numbers 14: 1-10

How can a set of people experience the crossing of the Red Sea and yet be so faithless that the Lord, who did that, will not help them cross the river Jordan and take the promised land for them?

Well, God delayed their entry into the Promised Land by 40 years because of their stubbornness, disobedience, and forgetfulness of God’s promises. Aside from Caleb and Joshua, no one over a certain age saw the Promised Land since their generation exercises consistent unbelief in God’s provision.

continuation of yesterday's post...

A generation had died at this very same spot (no, they didn't actually die, but they quit dreaming).

Every dreamer will come to this spot.
Here, there are only two options:
You cross over into the promise, or
Settle down on this side of Jordan and give up.

Jordan is divinely ordained. It is a place of impossibility, weakness, vulnerability, and helplessness. It is the place where all self-effort ends. It is where we come face-to-face with our carnal nature.

You may face your Jordan during a time of sickness, a time of great financial hardship, psychological turmoil, or a time of family strife.
God is not the author of sickness, pain, heartbreak, disease, poverty, and hardship, but as we face these things, we come to an end of ourselves.

So, Jordan is a dividing line; it’s the place at which we are forced to decide whether we will trust in the living God or rely on our own flesh, strength, and efforts.

Dearest is at the edge of Jordan; tough decisions are made.

What is your own decision?

Amen

Joshua 3&4
The children of Israel were at a critical point again; they have been here before. Moses has died, and Joshua is in charge. They, like their fathers, had to decide if they would breakdown or breakthrough. Like the children of Israel, we all have to decide at some point in life if the dream is worth it or if we should go back to Egypt.

Dearest, it's one thing to dream; it’s another thing to take possession of that dream. Like Joseph, dreamers will come to this place; it is here that dreamers either go over or go under.

It is called the River Jordan!

Judas had been stealing from the collective money purse, and when he kept this sin secret, Satan crept within him. He made a deal with the priests and sat at the Lord's table with unconfessed sin, allowing Satan to further enter his heart.
