Crossing River Jordan
There is a glaring similarity in these two events: God’s direction was to “stand still, and He would provide a way.
On the other hand, there is also a glaring difference. At the Red Sea, the people were to stand still and watch God open the path ahead. The sea parted before anyone stepped into it. At the Jordan River, the men were told to stand still in the Jordan first, and then God would open the path. The waters didn’t part until after they stepped in.
Be patient and humble. Your time will come.
Beyond the River Jordan
We must learn to step out in faith to cross the many jordans in our lives in other to grow.

Beyond the River Jordan
We often find ourselves in state of crossing and transition after times of being stuck in a wilderness.
We have had to endure some form of hunger and loss during what seemed to be a never-ending journey.
But in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come to an end of it. Amen.
Note this! We are fighting from victory, not for victory!
Jesus has already fought the ultimate battle on the cross and won! Glory.

Just in case you are wondering, awuye awuye means news or rumour.
a little diversion from Beyond the River Jordan.
Reading the Jesus betrayal story, many of us might loathe Judas for what he has done, but we are supposed to feel sorry for him.
To be so close to the Saviour and miss salvation, to be so close to the seat of mercy and die unreconciled, to see Jesus' compassion and kindness and yet bring such a cruel and self-inflicted fate to himself, is tragic.
Though women are designed and given roles different from men, they are not inferior, infact, they are equal to men.
I honestly do not want to be in Zebedee's shoes. As someone who has worked in human resources, I can tell you that interviewing and hiring aren't easy.
Those brothers actually left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants and followed Jesus. There is no record of them negotiating benefits or terms and conditions. Lol
Their father did not even try to stop them, knowing the effect their departure would have on his fishing business. What an admirable family!
If you were Zebedee, what would you do?
(For those who don't know, Zebedee was a fisherman and the father of James and John, two of Jesus’ disciples.)
The implication of Jesus last words to his disciples is that if we are really following, we'll be soul-winning. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19). The Christians in the New Testament went everywhere, preaching the Word and not poaching members from other churches (Acts 8:4).
Jesus was specific about 'WHERE' the soul-winning should be done. Mark 16:15 And he said to them,"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He was specific about 'WHAT' you should do (Matthew 28:19). Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. He was specific about 'HOW' it should be done. (Act 1:8) But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
You cannot claim to have the power of God inside of you, and winning souls is not a part of your day-to-day life. Inviting your friends who are Christians to your church in order to win them over is not winning souls. Sharing the word with just the people you know is direct disobedience to the instructions of Jesus.
Can we please get serious?
We need to get busy reaching out to folks who don't go to church and have no relationship with Jesus.
I left God cos I thought he left me...
There are many reasons why people walk away from God. Some believe God is unconcerned about their needs, and others cannot comprehend why a powerful God would allow bad things to happen to their loved ones or good people, while others want to keep their lustful desires and justify doing so.
The truth is, a lot of people are at the end of their faith. They have prayed, fasted, and hoped, but it seems God doesn't answer. They have suffered so much for a long time, and they are about to give up. I was too, and I left!

In most cases, people lie because they fear the consequences of telling the truth. They dread what other people's opinions might be.
