Hot on the heels of last year’s brand new brooding full-length “Dolores”, French death metallers Liquid Flesh will release a new EP, "Vestiges Abrutissants” (mind-numbing vestiges), in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of their formation. The EP is due out on December 13th 2024.

“Unchallenging music for drunk musicians”

This was the driving force behind the creation of LIQUID FLESH 10 years ago, In 2024. The band was tired of the long rehearsals and tedious composition sessions with their other bands, which made progress feel slow and monotonous. They wanted something raw, direct—a sound that embraced simplicity without pretension, perfect for the energy they were craving. This was the background to the band's debut album “Spontaneous Liquefaction”, released in 2016.

The band formula has been tightened up with the arrival of Putrid Bruce on bass and vocals, who has given the band a new lease of life: while retaining its original impact, the band offers more convoluted structures on “Chair Liquide” (2020, Metal is the Law Records) before moving on to a concept album with “Dolores” (2023, Time to Kill Records). Nonetheless, some tracks from the first album, like “Tenafly Viper” and “Human Soup”, have never left the band's setlist. For the band's 10th anniversary, LIQUID FLESH have chosen to re-record these tracks.

This anniversary is the occasion for an update. French lyrics having taken their place with the arrival of Putrid Bruce, the songs have been completely translated and reworked. The music has also been rearranged, but the biggest improvement lies in the mixing work of Gastric Luke, the band's jack-of-all-trades (that takes care of the composition, mixing, artwork…), who has gained 10 years of experience: the sound is more powerful, incisive and perfectly honoring the old-school death metal sound.

A celebration is never without its share of surprises: this is the opportunity to introduce the band's new drummer, Acid Bapt, with his precise and dynamic playing, who joined the band barely a year ago. It is also the occasion to pay tribute, with a cover of the classic Entombed track “Eyemaster”—also translated in French—and a new version of “Police Python 666”, originally recorded during the COVID period and released on the “We Are French F**k You n°3” compilation.

With its EP “Vestiges Abrutissants” (mind-numbing vestiges), LIQUID FLESH offers us a link between its past and present history like vivid and meaningful memories observed in the rear view mirror. Take a seat, It’s time to open one again!

"Storytellers of Lies" is the new single from Italian black-thrash metal trailblazers Necrodeath. Now streaming everywhere, the track is the first harbinger preceding the band's final album, "Arimortis", due out January 17th 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

The band commented: "'Storytellers of Lies' is a pure thrash track, fast and immediate, reminiscent of the classic Necrodeath sound from the very first note.
The lyrics, highly provocative, are a clear denunciation of the music business world. These storytellers, in exchange for money, offer you nothing but the false hope of stepping onto a stage you will never see...".

As previously stated, NECRODEATH have announced their intention to disband after one last album and a farewell tour in 2025.

The album will be the last recorded testimony before the definitive dissolution of the band. The release will be followed by a farewell tour, which will last throughout 2025. After which the curtain will fall.

Frontman Flegias commented: “'Arimortis' is a term of Latin origin which indicates the end of a war, the moment in which the fallen are honoured and altars are erected in their name ('arae mortis', the altars of death). Even today in some parts of Italy the term 'arimo' is used to declare the end of the games. We wanted to use this allegory to seal a path that lasted forty years, full of satisfactions, disappointments and revenge. The songs that make up the album contain several references to our long career”.

Four years after their last release and six years since their last full-length, Othismos announce the arrival of their new album, "Sottrazione", available on December 16th, 2024. This marks the band's third album since their inception in 2009, following "L’odio necessario" (2015) and "Separazione" (2018), and it’s their first album entirely in English.

"Sottrazione" comprises eight tracks that defy genre boundaries: OTHISMOS continue on their unique musical journey, bridging crust, black metal, post-hardcore, sludge, and other metallic elements. Over the years, their sound has drawn comparisons to an array of bands, from Nasum to High on Fire, capturing the vast scope of their influences.

The new album was recorded with longtime friend and collaborator Emanuele “Bio” Ferrari, and then mixed and mastered by Danilo Battocchio (Ponte del Diavolo, Hierophant, Tons, and more).

The band shares:

“After a period of inactivity and a new drummer joining our lineup, we’re starting fresh with new ideas. We’ve dialed back some of the black metal sound that shaped our previous album and leaned back towards our punk and crust roots, yet allowing more space for melody. We worked by subtraction, embracing a ‘less is more’ approach. 'Sottrazione' is furious, pitch-dark, and extreme, because that’s who we are. We don’t fit into any one category, and we’ve never tried to. What we hope for is that 'Sottrazione' leaves listeners with the raw, visceral impact that we aim to convey.

Italian death metal titans Hour Of Penance have announced the long-awaited re-release of their masterpiece “Sedition”, available for the first time ever on vinyl, through Time To Kill Records.

Originally released by Prosthetic Records in 2012, “Sedition” showcases HOUR OF PENANCE at their most relentless, delivering some of the fastest and most crushing death metal ever recorded. The album contains nine tracks that highlight the band's intense and signature blend of apocalyptic soundscapes. A powerful and epic opus, it also marks, in hindsight, a reflection of the grandiose and increasingly technical direction death metal was taking at the time.

“Se Solo Potessimo Cadere” is a terrifyingly dark album combining caustic, abrasive and insidious Drone Noise with Black Metal, Ambient, minimalistic soundscapes and improvisational music, brought to you by a collaboration between Davide Destro (LaColpa, Macabro Dio) and Void (Feed Them Death).

With “Se Solo Potessimo Cadere” (translated “If only we may fall”) PSEUDODOXIA deliver a refreshingly honest and unique approach to music and experimentation, combining the use and manipulation of analogue noise oscillators, synthesizers and acoustic drone with piano, guttural screams and hyper-distorted, dissonant guitars.

White light died, aeons away from home. Reality is fundamentally altered. Mutilated, it lurches on, as if blind to what has gone missing, to what will never return.

UNTIL DEATH OVERTAKES ME (UDOM for short), active since 1999, resides somewhere in the more murky reaches of the doom genre. Often called ambient funeral doom, UDOM's sound is always undergoing subtle changes, and delivers introspective musical journeys to and through the darker and more tortured places of the human mind.

Since inception, UDOM has released 18 albums. The majority of these were self-released, targeting primarily digital-only platforms. "Diagenesis" is a culmination of inner torments which, having grown over the years, finally find a release through 4 lengthy tracks. Starting with a dream through which the dead communicate for the very last time, and from which the realisation is born that the act of remembering, preserving, lies wholly with the living. Realising the burden is subject to one's own slow decay, guilt so powerful it seems only death can solve it, sets in. Yet that same death will not be avoided, and until then, we may dream. "Diagenesis" ends with a tribute to the dead of whom memories are fading, which ends up speaking more of the own despair, eventually faltering as it realises it will never reach those who can no longer hear.

"Diagenesis". The final act of the dead. To become one with the surroundings whence they came, to become indistinguishable from the rest of reality, and effectively, to vanish as if they'd never existed. To leave the living despairing with the knowledge that no matter how deep they dig, in earth and mind, the dead shall never be found again.

Bereavement ravages the mind, and time promises to blunt its strength. A pale wasteland may recover one day, but the guilt that comes with fading memories takes root instead.
And here, time only strengthens it. As clear images become abstract dreams, guilt bears down with its growing, crippling mass.

The only ones to understand, who could ever forgive, have already gone ahead, and are those same ones fading out of view.

And when they're truly gone, only death may forgive.

The song is the second single from the Italian band's new EP "Undead Remains", out today, October 11th.

On the EP, MEMBRANCE say: “‘Undead Remains' showcases what’s left from the sessions of our last album 'Undead Island': these are older and slightly more experimental tracks that the band was still working on during the recording of the full-length. For this reason they were not included in the album, as we wanted to give them more exposure in a subsequent release.
In addition to 'Co**se For Sale', among the new tracks with a more experimental style there is 'Vengeance's Price', which features Sara Tacchetto, singer of Vallorch, on vocals. This song is inspired by Shakespeare's play 'The Merchant of Venice’: each verse is an act with a different character. The collaboration with Sara was born by entrusting her with two acts in which the protagonist is a woman.
To close this release, we have included a cover that is very dear to us, both for the themes covered and for its impact in the live setting, and a couple of live recordings of our most ferocious and punishing songs.
The artwork was painted by Francesco Cagali in the style of his previous work for us, while the mastering of the EP was handled by Luca Cocconi of Audiocore Studio, precisely to link these songs with the latest full-length 'Undead Island’”.

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO bridges the gap between two separate worlds.

The Italian band proposes a doom / black metal sound with old-school roots, adding a modern and outside the box background. The female voice - with strong dark wave influences - is the lyric cor pus of this strongly esoteric project. The solid presence of two bassists creates the massive foundation for the rhythmic guitar, everything marked by a raw and dynamic drumming.

“Mystery of Mystery / Secret Live Session” marked the quintet’s debut EP. It was recorded live and without editing at Dracma Studio with the producer L’Ossario in their home base of Turin in March 2020. "I" was released on the web by Iopan Records. It was soon followed by their second single, "The Wickedest Woman In the World".

At the end of 2021, PONTE DEL DIAVOLO recorded their second EP, “Sancta Menstruis” at Deepest Sea Studio in Turin with Danilo Battocchio. The first single, "The Unborn", arrived in February 2022.

The band's third EP, “Ave Scintilla!”, was also recorded in Turin. This time around, they reconvened at Dracma Studio with L'Ossario.

Prepare to cross over into the Italian dark arts.
