OWN IT SCRATCH ROCK RECORDS is a record label based in London, England.

Founded by DYDY HAYNES and MINKY TRES-VAIN in 2012, the label was called SCHLIMBUM RECORDS before being rebranded as SCRATCH ROCK RECORDS in 2019. With releases by BRAIN APE, CHANTY TRES-VAIN, and THE ORANGUTANZ to name a few, the company labels all releases as “SCRATCH ROCK”, freeing up our artists to create music unconfined by genre-boundaries.

To our supporters and the London music community,

This past year has been busy for Scratch Rock Records and its artists, especially with upcoming tours. However, we want to address recent issues with Bambian Records Bookings.

Initially our collaborations with Bambian Bookings were promising, but troubling business practices have emerged. They began shifting responsibilities to our artists for show promotion and often altered ticket policies last minute, allowing free entry despite prior ticket sales. This has led to significant concerns about professionalism.

In September, just 46 days before a planned collaborative November tour, abruptly removed all Scratch Rock artists from said tour, citing new opportunities. This was unprofessional and inconsiderate, as our artists had already made substantial preparations. Nevertheless, we’ve quickly rebooked a tour for The Kid and I, supported by BRAIN APE, with most shows being free entry to honour our loyal fans.

Going forward, Scratch Rock will distance itself from Bambian Bookings, and we urge the London music scene to be aware of their practices. Transparency remains a core value for us.

Minky Très-vain established himself as a musician at the age of sixteen when his then-band Still Sane received their first international airplay on Luxembourg's ARA City Radio. Since that day he's released nearly one hundred and fifty songs with various bands and in varying musical styles including punk, electronica, and alternative rock, and is further set to release two more albums in 2024 alone.
At twenty-two, Très-vain was offered his first acting role as the lead in a short silent-film tackling the corruption of England's university tuition scandal. This launched the artist into years of juggling his music touring schedule with his new-found passion on the big screen. Having already worked alongside the likes of Brad Pitt, Gal Gadot, and Damian Lewis, Très-vain has his sights set on the most creatively challenging of roles and projects.

The third live single by The Kid and I, "Innovator" continues where songs like "Good Times Go" left off in showcasing just how good a live band they really are. And this is just the beginning. On December 6th, The Kid and I 'Live at The Temple of Art and Music' will be released. A blistering 50 minute show, it features their already classic tunes like "Cynic", "Free Falling", and "Fade Away".
