“The camp will allow Texas to "amass a large army in a very strategic area" and "increase the speed and flexibility of the Texas National Guard to be able to respond to crossings," Abbott said.

“A new Texas law is set to take effect on March 5 that allows Texas state authorities to arrest and deport people suspected of crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally, testing the legal limits of the state's authority.”

Texas is building a military "base camp" in the city of Eagle Pass near the U.S.-Mexico border, part of a broader effort by the state's Republican governor to deter illegal immigration.

It would benefit nearly every person in the US to read An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States. This was one of the most important books that I have ever read.

Most of you have realized that the history we were taught in school is incomplete. United States history was mostly written by white men for the benefit of white men and white society. Unfortunately the "history" most of us are raised on is not only incomplete, it is an all-out lie.

Reading this book is an important step in removing these fallacies that have become deeply ingrained into our brains and overcoming them with truth. This truth hurts. It's not easy to read. But if we are to create a society that is equitable and just, it is absolutely imperative to understand the foundation of what we currently call the United States.

This nation was founded on genocide, murder, slavery, lying, manipulating and delusion... It was not a war that "won this nation." It was not "fairly purchased." It was stolen with atrocious tactics by both the government and many citizens.

For those thinking they don't want to dwell on the past... Well, this isn't the past. This is the present. This "history" has not only been continuing during our lifetime, but the past forms the present. We will never understand the present and live honestly, if we do not understand the foundation of our existence as we know it.

Read this book. Educate yourself. And then change your life to abolish the lies and live for equity, justice and regeneration.
