Last night, we went to check out The Halloween Trail, a spooktacular new family-friendly Halloween event set in and around Wilderspool Woods in the grounds of Trafford Centre.
It’s a brilliant new event that really makes the most of the woodland space, and the lights and designs are all very effective.
Featuring over 100,000 lights, this mesmerising trail is filled with captivating installations, as well as interactive installations and activities such as pumpkin carving, marshmallow roasting, a skeleton petting zoo and skeleton disco?
Venture further into the woods to discover the skeleton funfair, Ye Olde Skeleton Arms, and abandoned Haunted Hotel, illuminated by a backdrop of captivating lights. Tuck into a variety of food and drink options from Manchester’s best street food venue, Freight Island!
Tickets are available now, with off-peak prices starting at £8 per child, £10 per adult and family tickets from £32.

We took a trip down the iconic cobbles yesterday for The Coronation Street Experience.
If you are a lifelong fan, an intermittent watcher, or you’ve never seen the show before, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time on this 90 minute (approx) guided tour through some of the most famous and storied locations in British television history.
Shoutout to Alfie for being the absolute best guide, and for his encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Corrie.
The tour is mostly outdoors in direct sun (very hot yesterday) or rain, with very little shade, and on uneven cobbles, so make sure to dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
The show films two months in advance meaning they are now filming for October 2024, so you can see various seasonal details and decorations throughout the tour which will change by the month.

Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to Broadway this autumn to take on one of the greatest roles in musical theatre, “Mama Rose,” in the upcoming new revival of GYPSY.
The production will directed by the legendary five-time Tony Award-winning Director George C. Wolfe, with choreography by four-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown.
Performances will begin Thursday 21 November 2024.
