On Episode 138 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome Cambridge, MA pop/R&B artist, César, to the show! César is one of the young rising stars in the MA music scene, well known in the area for hit single “MR.KNOITALL” and his high-energy performances. César is back with a new album ‘LETHAL WEAPON’ which he and Mike discuss at length, diving into his musical process and how he curates the sonic appeal of his projects. César certainly has plenty of music in the vault as well.

César & Mike also discuss his early years of experimenting with his sound, which included covering Khalid songs, and highlights an interaction with JID at a Harvard Seminar that changed his outlook on music. César also addresses his dire to live with intent at his gets older in both his professional and musical life, as well as the importance of showing respect to others and yourself.

On Episode 133 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome one of Boston’s brightest young music stars and best performers, the one and only SeeFour! SeeFour is fresh off a deep run on Season 2 of Netflix’s premier hip-hop show, Rhythm & Flow, where he made it all the way to the Battle Round, losing a tight contest to finalist Sura Ali, but received high praise from the likes of Eminem, Ludacris, Latto, & DJ Khaled. Since then, SeeFour has been steadily on the rise in popularity nationwide, and recently released the deluxe edition of his album ‘Spirit of a Warrior’. SeeFour dives into his experiences on Rhythm & Flow at length, as well as shares his inspiration behind ‘Spirit of a Warrior’.

SeeFour also shares highlight moments of his early days as an artist, most notably winning Leedz Edutainment’s Rap Race at the young age of 16, beating out notable established artists. It is there where he met Rob Kelley-Morgan, CEO of PutInWork Records, who has been managing Seefour ever since. Their partnership is one of friendship, trust, and dedication that has made them both incredibly successful both together and individually. SeeFour describes the impact of Rob on his life, and shares some highlight moments that include a hilarious night at an Atlanta strip club, losing his voice on tour, and so much more.
