This is probably my favorite interview/ podcast. Some will remember the story of Cyntoia Brown - the young woman who was s*x trafficked and ended up killing a john. Kim Kardashian and Beyonce helped to get the story out and she ended up getting clemency from the governor.

Well this is the story of Preston Shipp - he was prosecutor in the Tennessee AG's office. While teaching a course in the prison with a conservative Christian college, he met Brown. Even more remarkably, he had been the prosecutor who asked the judge to deny her appeal. What happened however changed his entire view of the criminal legal system.

It's an amazing story.

I really enjoyed reading his book that just came out in April and doing this interview.
