On December 7th, 2012, it is all about celebrating student work and achievement at our semi-annual Cinema, Video and Communications Media Night. On Media Night, students, teachers, family and friends come together at the Daw
son Theatre to screen short films, made entirely by students for class or on their own time. The short films are separated into categories, and this is done during a selection process prior to the show. The selection panel consists of a team of CinVidCom students and a teacher. They are the ones to choose what makes the cut and where it should be placed. There are four categories during Media Night: Narrative, Documentary, Experimental and Animation. Every category has a winner, runner-up and an honorable mention. These prizes are given away at the end of the show, and are determined by our guest judges. The judging panel for Media Night changes every semester, and consists of Montreal born directors and actors, past CinVidCom students, and our experienced CinVidCom teachers. The audience is in for a show at the end of every semester, between great student films and student hosts who really make the audience feel right at home and entertained, there is no better place to end the semester with a bang. Are you interested in purchasing tickets for Media Night? However, tickets are not on sale yet, but keep your eyes peeled for more updates! Are you interested in having your movie shown?
