One morning, Laura told her daughter she was stepping out for some grocery shopping. Mia really wanted to accompany her, and Laura agreed.
While Laura was shopping, a strange detail caught Mia's attention: A milk carton with her image on it. Mia approached the carton and lifted it from the shelf. She stared at the word "MISSING" printed below her photo!
"Remember something?" Her mom's voice made her jump. Mia turned around, pressing the carton to her chest to hide it.
Mia knew something was off the day she arrived at Laura's house. She couldn't pinpoint what, but this milk carton was her first lead.
"I was…I was just looking," Mia replied nervously.
"Alright," Laura nodded and turned toward the checkout. As Laura walked away, Mia memorized the phone number on the carton. Thank God, this was the only carton with her photo; otherwise, Laura would've noticed it, too.
When Mia returned home, she immediately called the number. A few rings went through, and then a woman's voice answered.👇

I'm 75 years old and I love wearing red lipstick. I have been doing that for years and now I am being accused of it. Come on now… it’s unfair
Yesterday, I was getting ready for a family dinner, and my son saw me applying my favorite red shade. He sneered and said, "Mom, you look like a desperate old clown trying to cling to your youth. It's embarrassing, you don’t have to do it."
He said it with a laughing face as if it were a joke. BUT HE MEANT IT. And then his wife with the ugliest smile ever looks at me and says:
“Oh I agree with Steph, red lipstick is not for older people. I think you should stick to what other people are doing”
Right at that moment I said to her: “HONEY WHY DON’T YOU MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS”
You should have seen her face, she was taken aback. She didn’t expect this and just smiled and looked away. “Sorry Edith, we just don’t want you to look like a clown” IMAGINE THE AUDACITY
My son was confused but then added: “Ok Mom enjoy the circus” while his wife gave another laugh saying come on Steph let’s not miss the circus. And they both laughed.
How do you think this made me feel? At first for about 10 minutes I was hurt and in the corner alone and sad. But then the sadness turned into RAGE…

My grandmother passed away, and all she left me in her will was an old sofa. My father was very angry, saying, "She took all her wealth to the grave! You're her only grandchild!" But I respected her will.
Grandma often read me fairy tales on this sofa, and I listened, fascinated, with a cup of tea. I loved spending time with her, and she understood me like no one else...
Influenced by childhood memories, I sat down on the sofa but instantly felt that something was wrong — a hard, sharp object was poking me in the back!
At my own risk, I cut open the sofa and found a green metal box. Inside were many papers and a letter addressed to me! I carefully opened it, and my heart stopped.
