A true submarine this morning out of the canal. These boys were working giant mullet all morning against the sea wall. Had a few chances at them and missed, then this guy comes blowing by snatching up my top water. I put the brakes down hard and was able to get him in before wrapping me in a dock or piling. 🐟 🐷 ☀️ 🌊 🌴

Y’all gotta check out these boats being made right here in Cape Coral. Andy, the owner of the company has been fine tuning this design into perfection and is building these. This boat is great for the shallows and also something you could take out to Boca Grande or to some wrecks near shore. Can’t wait to show you more! I’ve been sick after the holidays, and have much focus on my design business. I’m thinking more camping and exploration episodes for the ocean dude channel. Where should we take this boat to?! 🌊 ☀️ 🐟

Sugar Sand would like to thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding in these trying times. We are hoping to soon get a solid timeline on when services will be fully restored. We have lots of work ahead of us to get everything back as it was in our paradise, but the paradise itself hasn't gone anywhere. Some guests are choosing to complete their reservation "boondocking", and are welcome at half the normal daily rate until power and electric are both fully restored. Any guests who had an October or upcoming reservation may reschedule, hold, or transfer their reservation without fees or expiration. We will be back better than ever. This moment, like the picture, is only a snapshot in time of Sugar Sand, and while it may appear as a sunset, this is in fact a sunrise, a new and brighter day for us all. Soon we will gather around the tiki-bar again, reminisce of memories past, and celebrate the day and memories anew.
