This weekend, the Fondes Amandes Community Reforestation Project (FACRP) is hosting their annual gayap!
The work of the FACRP alongside the Foundation for the Bioregional Autonomy of the Orinoco Watershed (FBAOW) was featured in our documentary film MY WATERSHED, MY HOME (2020. TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO. 22â22â. DOCUMENTARY).
About the film:
Set in Trinidad and Tobago, this film takes us into Fondes Amandes, St. Annâs, on the outskirts of the countryâs capital where diverse members of the community come together to work at reforesting their watershed, and on bringing back its biodiversity. But they must also get creative to address the underlying issues fueling the persistent threat of forest fires.
