Today is Lucia day in Sweden. Kids and teens and some adults dress up and sing ”Sankta Lucia, Sankta Lucia” and carry light into the darkness of December. It is a strange tradition - rooted in religion and nominally centrering around a saint, yet mixed up with much older traditions of a festival of light.

In Y2K season 1, episode 50, Kat has a very hard time seeing any light or joy on Lucia day.

So, glad Lucia everyone. May you always find light when you need it.
