From our latest pattern book "Travel Vol.2 A Day in Naoshima", Nagisa is a zip-up jacket cardigan with a brilliant use of contrast color. In addition to the inside of the pockets and the collar, stripes can be placed anywhere on the sleeves using contrasting colors.
It is cropped length and has a lovely shape with a dropped shoulder line, which is full of Tokuko's particular style.

View is a fluffy vest knitted with amirisu Flutter.
It is featured in our latest pattern book, Travel Vol.2 A Day in Naoshima.

The main body of the garment is worked with MC and CC held together, and the shoulder intarsia panels are worked in two strands of MC held together.
This design was inspired by the work of James Turrell, a well-known artist of light. Some of Turrell's work can be found on Naoshima. I would like to go to Naoshima wearing the View to admire them.

Light and fluffy!
Amane is a pullover knitted chunkily in amirisu Flutter. Stylish wide stripes created by stockinette stitches and garter stitches. Although knitted in a single colour, the result is rich in texture and impact. The large slits on both sides allow you to enjoy layering.

Sazanami is a cardigan with a cable pattern that looks like a series of ripples. (The Japanese word for ripples is Sazanami!)
The whole body of the cardigan has a cable pattern, so the knitted fabric is thicker and very warm. The sleeves, on the other hand, are knit in simple stockinette stitches, so they are easy to move.
The simple shape should be easy to use and match with both trousers and skirts. Why not start knitting this for the winter?

Our latest pattern book, "Travel Vol.2 A Day in Naoshima" is now available!

Utakata is set of a hat and mittens knit using amirisu Stroll.
This is a cute set with a pattern of bubbles floating to the surface of the water.
Kknitted with DK weight, so it's easy to knit. Thick yarn tends to make it look casual, but the shape is beautiful and the subtle nuances of hand dyeing give it an elegant feel. It's recommended for cute accessories for adults.
Conversely, it would be good to use clear colours to make the pattern stand out. This would look cute like Yayoi Kusama's pumpkins on Naoshima.

Our latest pattern book, "Travel Vol.2 A Day in Naoshima" is now available!

Lanka is a little dickie knitted with amirisu Sprint.
The plump pistachio stitch pattern and picot knitting on the sides are cute💙
It is small, so it can be worn like a detachable collar and you can knit it with only one skein of Sprint (when you knit the small size). It keeps your shoulders warm and can be used for a long season.

Uzu is a paisley colorwork cardigan, featured in our latest book, "Travel Vol.2 A Day in Nara".
The body is knitted in a round, using the steek technique. The ribbing is brioche knitted in two colours, there are fine stitches on the front band. It is fun to knit with lots of events, but the difficulty level is increased... But it is sure to make a wonderful piece, so give it a try!

Whitby is a guernsey pattern sock knitted with amirisu Sprint.
The springy Sprint makes the pattern stand out clearly. The subtle sheen of the wool makes the pattern look even more beautiful.
The yarn is sport weight and thick, so it's easy to knit and will keep you warm. The simple design makes it a great gift.
There are various options to adapt the distribution ofthe patterns. An arrangement for knitting this design in normal Fi*****ng yarn is also presented!

This is the second volume in our "Travel" pattern book series, a series featuring knitwear designed with amirisu original yarns.
This book mainly focuses on four new yarns, Swing, Sprint, Stroll, and Flutter, which we released in the two and a half years since the first Japanese-only volume was published. Travel Vol. 2 also includes the ever-popular Parade and Wanderlust Linen, so you can enjoy knitting projects from this book all year round.
Travel is the theme of this series. We create each collection by imagining with the participating designers what we would like to wear and knit in our favourite travel destinations.
This time, the destination is Naoshima, an island of art in the Seto Inland Sea. You can admire the artworks that adorn the entire island, take in the peaceful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, and experience the life of the people who live in the traditional town. Naoshima is not a big island, but it has plenty of charm.
The fresh, cool tones of the knitted samples look great against the seascape of Naoshima. We hope you enjoy the feeling of travelling with us.

Travel vol.2 A Day in Naoshima, a collection of patterns to knit with amirisu original yarns, will finally be available tomorrow!

This is Misaki, a shawl knitted with a combination of two different yarns, Swing and Flutter. Designed by Kitman Figueroa.
The hem is made of Flutter with fluffy baby suri alpaca. The part that touches the neck is Swing, a crisp Spanish Merino. You can choose two similar colors same as in the sample, which is great, or you can try completely different color combinations. It is relatively easy to knit!

amirisuのオリジナル毛糸で編むパターン集「Travel vol.2 A Day in Naoshima」は、いよいよ明日発売です！
写真のショールは、SwingとFlutterを組み合わせて編むMisaki。Kitaman Figueroaのデザインです。裾はふわふわのベビースリアルパカが入ったFlutterで、首に触れる部分はさっぱりしたスパニッシュメリノのSwingで編んでいます。
サンプルと同じように同系色でまとめても素敵ですし、全く違う色を組み合わせてみるのも面白そう。掲載パターンの中では比較的簡単に編めますよ！

Only three days to go until our next pattern book, Travel vol.2 A Day in Naoshima. launch🎉
It will be launched in our online shop and on Ravelry on 24. Stay tuned!

The most summery item in the book is this cardigan, Murakami, knitted in amirisu Wanderlust Linen. This is designed by Meri with the image of a ship in mind, with beautiful colour combinations and a lot of attention to detail, including crocheted edging and I-cords through the hem.
Unfortunately we don't have sample colours in stock, but we'd love you to try knitting in your choice of colours.

Travel vol.2の発売まであと3日となりました！
本に掲載されている中で一番夏らしいアイテムは、Wanderlust Linenで編むカーディガン、Murakami。メリが船をイメージしてデザインしたもので、色の組み合わせが絶妙です。
縁はかぎ針で仕上げ、裾にはI-cordの紐を通していて、こだわりがたくさん詰まっています。残念ながらサンプル色の在庫がないのですが、お好きな色で編んでいただけると嬉しいです！

Hanada is a lace vest knitted in amirisu Parade, designed by Keiko Kikuno.
The different patterns on the front and back make it fun to knit - it's a fashionable, easy-to-use design that can be layered over a T-shirt or worn on its own in the summer months.

Nara is one of the oldest former capitals of Japan and is full of World Heritage sites. We are very excited to bring people from all over the world to one of amirisu’s bases again this year.

(1) Workshop with embroidery artist Tomomi Mimura (). We’ll get an early look at a project from her upcoming book and create colorful mini sheep using her distinctive style of mosaic darning.
(2) Intarsia shawl workshop with Aimée Gille, owner of La Bien Aimée (). Designed by Aimée during her visit to Japan last year, this new shawl pattern will make its debut at our retreat.
Other: Dinner at the beautiful traditional Japanese restaurant Kikusuiro Ryotei and more. The detailed timetable is still being worked out. We are planning a variety of fun activities!

Price: approx. 120,000 yen - 140,000 yen with tax. Prices vary by room.
Basically, all rooms are double occupancy, but there are a few single rooms available. If you have a friend who will participate with you, please let us know.
About meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included twice each. In the morning, you can enjoy a breakfast produced by Yukiko Ishimura, the owner of Kuruminoki (), at hotel. Lunch boxes will be provided in the afternoons and dinner will be buffet-style Italian one night and Japanese cuisine at a famous Nara restaurant the other.

Note: This retreat will take full advantage of Naramachi, the center of Nara, and the hotel and workshop venues will be relatively far apart. As a rule, participants will have to walk (about 15 minutes). Please be prepared to walk.

Payment: Please pay by bank transfer. It is 0 yen at the time of application. Invoice will be sent after confirmation of application. Only participants from overseas may pay with PayPal.

The long, narrow, easy-to-use shape makes it look natural no matter how you wrap it. It would be wonderful to knit Lulu with hand-dyed yarn.

Our latest book, "My Fair Isle Journey" is a collaborative pattern book with Fair Isle knitting instructor, Yuco Sakamoto.

For this collection, she designed two sweaters, three cardigans, three vests, and four accessories, all using traditional Fair Isle techniques. With video tutorials and smaller projects like bags, a scarf, and a hat, this is book offers a great introduction to Fair Isle knitting while including more complex patterns for experienced knitters, too.

Photographed are tote bags perfect for everyday use. Knit in the round as shown in the chart. Finish the ends, block, and pull off the bottom part. Sew on the lining fabric. We also sell lining kits!

From amirisu 24, Umibata vest is inspired by the sea of Nagasaki, designer Tokuko's hometown. The ocean peaking through rows of mountains is a nostalgic hometown image of her.
Vest is worked from the bottom up in the round, knit in Purl Soho Line weight.
