TRUTHSEEKER from Perth, Western Australia cought our attention last year with the release of their ST demo. At that time still a one man project by frontman "Reyne Leeson". RUNNING OUT is a hardcore band from Brabant, The Netherlands. They've been together since March 2011 and have been playing shows all over Holland and Belgium. Angry, pi**ed off and in your face is the best way to describe their music, inspired by bands like Backtrack, Swamps, No Warning. 18 MILES is a young and refreshing metalic hardcore formation with a distinctive sound and character. When the band was formed in 2010, the band members lived in the smaller towns Uitgeest and Heerhugowaard. For this reason their band name was born. The distance between the separate members was 18 miles. In 2011 they released a first EP called “Lessons”. They did the production and the release of this album completely DIY. Now, almost 2 years later they have finished the recording of their sophomore album called “Darker Times” which is ready for release via Perspective Records on February 16th. “Darker Times” will again be fully produced by vocalist Daan Nieboer. Expect an album containing 11 songs of charging drums, lightning fast riffs and devastating breakdowns. PR04: Ashes - Hold On MMXII (CD)
Ashes plays a style of groovy downtempo hardcore that is both high in energy and layered with creativity. I really love how they do things their way, cutting their own path into the scene. This refreshing sounding four piece takes some minor influences from bands like Carpathian and Shipwreck AD.
“Hold On MMXII” is the first effort from these young wolves and will perfectly give you an idea what they’re all about. We are more than happy to release those 2 songs on a MCD.
