한국의 테크노 레이블 스코파빅 (SCOPÁVIK)이 주최하는 스코파빅 나잇 (SCOPÁVIK Night)이 8월 3일 토요일 밤에 열립니다. 스코파빅은 2015년부터 팟캐스트 시리즈와 파티 그리고 레코드 레이블을 통해 세계 다양한 지역의 아티스트들과 협업 하며 개성 강한 활동을 이어 왔으며, 독자적인 사운드를 가진 국내외 아티스트들이 참여한 다수의 테크노 앨범을 발매하며 레이블로서의 색깔을 확고히 하고 있습니다.
이번 스코파빅 나잇은 Xanexx의 최신 EP “Crossing the Borderline”의 발매를 기념하는 파티가 될 예정입니다. 전자음악 프로듀서이자 디제이로서 오랜 시간 활동해온 Xanexx는 지난 10년간의 작업들을 정리하여, 오직 그만의 독창적인 사운드로 구성된 디제이 세트를 선보일 예정입니다.

Xanexx의 최신 EP “Crossing the Borderline“은 기본소리의 변형과 이중성을 모티브로 다층적으로 얽힌 소리들이 맞물리며 만들어진 4개의 트랙을 담고 있다. 서로 다른 소리들이 겹쳐지며 형성된 패턴이 몸의 움직임을 이끌어내어, 정체되지 않고 끊임없이 변화하는 소리와 함께 시간 속을 흐르게 한다.

11월 25일 토요일 밤, 한국의 테크노 레이블 스코파빅(SCOPÁVIK)이 주최하는 스코파빅 나잇은 베를린을 중심으로 활동 중인 테크노 아티스트 Pris와 함께 합니다.

“Pris는 2013년 자신이 설립한 레이블 Resin을 통해 데뷔작 ‘Unbeknown To Us’ (2013)를 발매하였고, 이후 이 레이블에서 잇달아 발매된 어둡고 짙은 텍스처를 가진 Pris의 새로운 테크노 사운드는 댄스 플로어에서 강력한 무기로 작동하였다. 이후 베를린으로 이주한 Pris는 현대 딥테크노의 주요 레이블들인 Avian, Semantica, Non Series 등에서 작품을 발표하며 자신만의 실험을 지속하였고, 2023년 발매된 정규앨범 ‘Phantom’(Resin)을 통해 그동안 만들어온 기술적, 음악적 정점을 들려주고 있다. 세심하게 만들어진 리듬과 미지의 선율이 결합된 트랙들은 리스너에게 비현실적인 경험을 제공하며, Pris는 이 앨범을 통해 자신이 나아갈 방향을 명확히 제시하고 있다.”
