Mmmmm. I just love the smell of finished things. Ironically, that's the very moment when I feel I have the most stamina for future projects. Got to love these moments. Sooo...I've just finished the mix for the forthcoming Homunculus Res 3rd album "Della stessa Sostanza dei Sogni". It was a fun ride, with echoes of The Beatles, Canterbury scene, Rascal Reporters and all those nifty little influences we like to hear in the music we love. Featuring lots of musicians, apparently much more than my tagging skills can handle, among which Tommaso Leddi, Rocco Lomonaco, Dave Newhouse and many more, this new one is quite a classy one, even more mature than their second one, and drenched in dreams. Dreams being the main concept-focus here, btw. I suspect I will see it topping many °best-of° charts in the near future. As far as my contribution is concerned, other than mixing it I only contributed with some keyboards layering here and there, heck, I think I only made one little solo on this one. Which is to be considered a compliment from my side, as I feel the band has even clearer ideas now, and did not need further enhancements from my side. Kudos! Coming up on AltrOck Productions soon.

Una poetica a tinte nordiche che dalla ricerca sonora trova comunque una sua fruibilità, in compagnia di tanti musicisti/compagni di viaggio Simon ci racconta, in questo volume, un percorso artistico unico che varia tra il Rock, la contemporanea, il jazz , la cameristica.
Diventato un'icona del movimento RIO tra gli anni 90 e 2000, Steensland ci propone due dischi, uno che raccoglie un insieme di pezzi del suo primo periodo editi su CD, ormai da tempo completamente fuori catalogo, assieme ad un secondo disco in cui compaiono pezzi totalmente inediti.
Un distillato del mondo musicale di Simon, una nuova incredibile esperienza sonora.
