Fort Frederica is lovely with its park-like beauty. Yet it is the history that will captivate you, and leave you wondering, what happened here?

🎼"It's the most otter-ly time...of the year!" 🎼

We can't help but sing out loud about this amazing sighting this morning by photographer, Michael Rodock.

Otters are well designed to swim and forage for food. They can stay underwater up to 8 minutes and dive to 60 feet. They have a radius of about 50 miles, and only stop in the healthiest of habitats, making them a keystone species. We're so glad that Big Haynes Creek Nature Center is on their route!
