Today is a sad day announced for the local table top, cards and figures community.
Huscarl, a long running staple in the topeka scene will be closing its doors permanently at the end of the month. In a post on there FB page, owner Dave let those who have played, shopped and called huscarl its second home know of its closer with a heavy heart.
Huscarl has given so many games a home, along with equal treatment across the board. Made everyone feel at home and part of the family.
On this post so many speak about how huscarl helped them, or helped ones they love.
As someone who has just begun a journey into card games, mostly pokemon, it has been an amazing place to call home for our league. The people and atmosphere alone made every experince worth every league night I have spent here.
Dave also spoke on updates later to come this month with the closure.
Topeka has lost a lot of things, however, this one, to me at least, seems like the biggest break and loss.
I know im not the only one who is torn up about this and wishes to help/do something to keep a topeka treasure around. And with that being said, I want to find a way to help and keep it alive.
Please gamers, come together with us to not only help Dave, but to also save a safe space for all in the gaming community. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
