Ambition Pictures The Official Ambition Pictures page. Founded in 2012 by brothers Phillip and Tim Wade.

Ambition Pictures has currently produced and distributed one feature film, "MOUNT ADAMS," which had a DVD release in Walmart, and 4 short films, including the most recent Award Winning "CHRYZINIUM" and "DUDE IN THE HEADLIGHTS."

The rough cut is done! 🙌 🥳
Now we all sit down and read the script through again before we watch this first cut of Life Cycle 63 through from beginning to end. It’s 3.5 hours long currently, so it’s going to take some time to go through with pen and paper taking notes on edit, performance, and scene duration, but now we’re back in the fun, creative part! It’s time to polish this rough stone into a gem. 😉
And for those curious, this is Jordan’s script book, which she used on-set during filming. Every scene number now has the date that we filmed it written next to it. The pages are also filled with notes from the filming days and small paper props, like this pamphlet we used in our spaceship church scene! Yes, a spaceship church. What do you expect from a retro, alternate history sci-fi? 😉 The script book also holds the signatures of almost everyone who acted in or worked on the film, like a movie year book!
It’s one of Jordan’s most prized and loved possessions at this point. ☺️

One of the most miserable days in set for these two. They got “rained” on by a hose all day long for a scene. And it was December, so it was cold outside!
But the scene looks fantastic, so, maybe it was worth it? 😅🫡

Crazy to think that it was two years ago we were in the Badlands filming for Life Cycle 63! It’s been quite the journey to get all of the footage for this indie sci-fi film, with a very small team doing most of the work! It’s pretty quiet now in post-production with just a few of us at the studio. It’s easy to miss the days we had our larger crew out here every week building sets and filming with us!
Our rough cut is going to be a behemoth when it’s done, and it’s getting close. Pretty soon we’ll be sitting down with paper and pen to watch it through and make a lot of editing notes. The majority of which will be about what we can cut or shorten to get the film down to about 90 minutes!

How un-glamorous some behind-the-scenes shots are!

Small update: the rough cut is going well! It’s more than half (and dare I hazard nearly 3/4?) of the way done! Cross your fingers for us, and it should be finished before the end of January. 🤞
Once this process is done, it’s time for all of us to watch through the cut with a fine-tooth-comb, writing down any continuity errors we see, any performances we want to look at alternate footage for, any changes to transitions, angles, or pacing, and any scenes we can trim down on. Life Cycle is such an involved story with a depth of world-building and a significant amount of (fantastic) improve from actors, so our rough cut may end up being closer to 2-3 hours long, whereas the Final Cut will have to be closer to 90 minutes! So you see we may unfortunately have to cut out a lot of fantastic moments … who knows, maybe we’ll end up with a “Director’s Cut” extended version too… 😜

Wish us luck as the rough cut is finalized! And if you’re a producer, keep an eye out on your emails come the end of January - we may set up a producers-only viewing of the film at the studio at that point!! 🤩🥳

🎉 And that’s a wrap on Finn!! 🎉
Our main character of has been shot out, and principle photography is DONE!! has been acting as Finn for over a year now, so I’m sure it’s a little odd for this character to be laid to rest. But also exciting! This phase is done, and we are now officially beginning post production. 🙌
Wish us luck as we wade through a river of paperwork and begin assembling a rough cut of the film. 🤞
And congratulate Tim on finishing out this starring role and surviving the many different acting curveballs this job threw at him! He took on the Finn character and made him his own, and brought a new perspective and life to the script. This film wouldn’t be the same without you! Now go get some rest! 😉

She plays Isla in ! This casting was really important to us, because it’s a very complicated character to bring to life, and we were looking for a specific type of presence on camera. Gwen stood out to us, and we are so happy with what she’s now brought to the film. And her on-screen chemistry with Alexander was great, as well! Thank you for joining us on set, Gwen! We wish you the best in your future, and can’t wait to see you at the premier!

✨We have a very important PSA for any of our cast and crew!!✨
We’ve tried to let people know as we’ve been going through production, but we do have a very specific contract with our distribution company about what photos and videos are allowed to be shared in any online or public space.
We’ve had enough people accidentally breaking this that we need to make a public announcement to make sure everyone sees and is aware of these rules:

Any photos or videos that are clearly BTS and DO NOT have characters in costume are okay to post.

ANYTHING that shows sets or characters in costume needs to be run past us first.

**ANY** photos or videos that show the camera’s monitor or that are screen captures or recordings of what was filmed, or that were taken while the camera was recording are absolutely NOT okay to post at any point in time before the film is released worldwide.

We know that people are excited about being a part of this project, and we love seeing the enthusiasm! But unfortunately some things are going to have to be kept private until the film out, and we know that can be tough.
Our distribution contract is very clear, though, and if we break it, it could hinder how far this film can go when it does release. Thank you for understanding!

We’re off to our last day of filming! Very, very soon this film will be “in the can,” and we’ll be in the editing room!!

We love you all - let’s finish making this incredible project!!

And that’s a wrap on Alexander!! He plays the young version of Finn in . We knew Alexander looked a lot like , but they even act similar! The scenes with Young Finn came together beautifully. And I think they left set as fast friends, as seen by their trip to the claw machine together afterwords!

One more set. One last shoot. The final 5 days of filming are under way! After several months of being in production, it’s a little emotional seeing these scenes finally come together.
David is being a champ and being a stand-in for the actors while we pre-light. ;)
